I left out stuff like air and food and water as I figured they were essential to life stuff.
If we’re talking other stuff I’d have to add Tai chi to the list.

hello,

the question gets you thinking
and stays with you
keeps a person up at night
or wakes a person up early
like a thigh bone drone sound kind of thing

i would amend my oceans answer
to swimming in the ocean

i like your tai chi answer
6 more to go

it's not a question that is answered quickly

cheers,

j

Nah, but seriously. That’s it. After a long time I’ve actually narrowed it down to that. Those 4 things are the only things I wouldn’t be without. :). More specifically Tai Chi Nei Gong.
Swimming in the sea is something I love.

their kids and god as the top two answers

it is an interesting question

my cousin in texas answered with
morality / honesty as #3
after god and children (#1 and #2)

cheers,

j

i am researching the 'tai chi nei gong'
no wonder you only need 4 things in your life

You got six slots left, might want to choose some records for that player .

If this question was limited to physical stuff it would be much more fun. If air and god and all that are permissible then most answers become crass and privileged. People live through all kinds of hardships where they survive without even the essentials. So if I say I can’t live without my guitar and my nice little house in the country it’s pretty disrespectful to the dude locked up in solitary in Guantanamo or the kid sleeping in the subway to hide from the bombs and everyone else surviving through hell.

Yeah it’s a fun game but maybe would be better called ‘10 things you really appreciate in life.’ Or ‘10 things you would hate to do without’ or something.

Sex, drugs and Rock&Roll... which in my case equates to my wife, my whiskey and my Reason setup. Besides those, air, food, and water are obvious. Hmmm... still four missing, have to think about those :puf_bigsmile:

Sounds like changing the bong water might be a good idea.

I usd to think there were things I couldn't live without but now I'm pretty sure I could live without almost all of it.
I'd miss people. And good food, music, diving, mountains, etc, etc ,etc.
There are a few things that if they went it would be a real pain in the ass. Like my health, phone, car, etc.
But really...It's all gonna go one day and all I'll have is memories.
And one day even they'll be gone.
One day I'll be gone too.
Then all that will be left is...everything.

Does rock & roll count as one thing or two? Gotta be very careful when making such requests. Genies and devils are known tricksters; you could very well end up with a stone and a moldy dinner roll.

Same goes for generically requesting something such as "sex" because there are likely some forms of sex you absolutely DONT want.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.
