Thank you for the tip :-)
Hadn´t heard of it before, then 30$ compared to 299$ is quite an offer and after trialing it an watching videos for a while I went for it.
Was especially interesting because I was asking about transient designers in another thread. I had merely been using FXpansion´s EnvShaper so far intensively and was looking for new devices in that regard. First got the currently free kilohearts VST one and this now. :-D

I like it´s soundwise pretty transparent in its alterations. Feels like a pleasant channeltool.

Yeah it's well worth the current price in my opinion. I really like how the autogain just works and workflow wise saves me having to keep matching volumes. All 4 modules are really useful. I have only used it on individual tracks and busses so far but have had good results quickly.

hehe. cool. i would also like to have Apple's devices but... i am poor. god damn it.
i would like to have apple's mac book since it is not like PCs are and Window OS is. - to be compatible with everything. such a mess.
apple has a build and that's it. dedicated OS and dedicated HW. no complications at all. fast ,reliable and so.
PCs with Windows are living mess.

thumbs up for you dvdrtldg!

Actually I just managed to resist the macbook pro 16inch 32gb 1tb.To be fair I have a mac mini m1 and a razer laptop power house with 32fb, 1tb, touch oled 15inch, i7 9750h so I guess it was not that difficult.

I agree that pc are somehow less polished but finally I will use my razer as daily driver with the following plus point compare to Apple laptops :
1 - the m1 and m1 Pro are awesome but at the end the i7 stays ahead on pure horse power (reason benchmark, to rechallenge after reason get m1 support and not rosetta)
2 - I can plug my midi keyboard directly to a real USB port, not a USB C hub (it does matter to me).
3 - It is touch! Delicious with XY controls in reason ♥️♥️♥️.
4 - mac has good screens but this razer has Oled in 4k and 60hz, so he is on the top of the food chain...

On the other hand, what I will miss from the macbook pro 16:
1 - immediate power available even if unplugged..
2 - instant wake up (razer is not that bad but mac is better)
3 - crazy awesome battery life

In term of OS, I don't love windows 11... But I don't love macos neither... So it is even for me, I just 'make do'.

In term of purchase may was a bit crazy for me:
Hardware:
- Akai midi contrôler mpk mini mk3

Software:
Best value for money ever : Izotop mixing and mastering advanced bundle including ozone 9 advanced, nektar advanced, and a lot of other stuffs. Official price 799, got it at 159 ♥️♥️♥️.

Rack extensions:
I bought the last reason products I didn't have : BVX vocoder and the layer bundle. I like it but don't love it.

Then thanks to reason talk (or because of) I bought in Rack Extensions :
Respire, expanse and antidote : I looove them. I think they are the 3 Kings of reason ecosystem with Europa and maybe Algoritm.
Then Oberon, the legend, predatorRE, Rob Papen Go2, nostromo, resonans => love them very much.
Noxious and Lespace were part of the oberon pack but didn't explore much...

Bought two packs of double ball end bass strings for my Spirit by Steinberger Bass….. Rotosounds, as not many others make these strings. Not that Rotosound is bad, but I usually play Elixer strings on my basses. On my Stratocaster I use original Fender 010 strings.

I ran on an iMac for years before switching to PC with multicore i7. I really don't miss the mac os, but I am not a developer. I still use the mac at times mostly to run vcv rack. the mac is treated as a hardware synth in my current setup. Oh, and to stay on topic my last synth-related purchase was the polybrute. It is really nice but is way heavy to move. A laptop and a controller are much more portable.

Not a fan of macos neither but you are right to say it is good for development.
The m1 has enormous potential though. It is a bit of a green cpu compared to the others...

Interesting that it has a mustang style bridge. Nice yellowed PU covers, can confirm that happens IRL

Best guiutar ever man. The range of tones you can get out of it is absolutely incredible. It almost plays itself. Nicely set up straight out of the box. Slight adjustment on the action and that was it. Cycle 60 hum is killing me.

Went for several bus/mastering VST via the 29forever option at Plugin Alliance (bascially 31$ for any plugin) because I´m about to mix + master a backgroundmusic song created for a freelance project.

ADPTR Sculpt

https://plugin-alliance.com/en/products ... culpt.html

.
TOMO Audiolabs LISA

https://plugin-alliance.com/en/products ... _lisa.html

.
Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor Class A

https://plugin-alliance.com/en/products ... _comp.html

.
Had it on mind for quite a long time and with the project at hand finally went for it. Though I feel the overall sound of the Eurorack module cartridges "ValhallaDSP" and "Valhalla Shimmer" for Tip Top Audio´s Z-DSP is even better compared to the several pure software plugins, possibly due to a varied way of coding because of the integrated processor (Sean´s guess) and also most likely the sound of the module around it, the software sounds superb anyway :-)
