Finally my bridge arrived today. My bass was eager to meet it’s new bridge. I mounted it right away, and did a proper setup for string height and intonation. In the days coming some finetuning will be done.

My bass is a dark brown stain, much like my bass playing.
If it were pink, I'd go by Plunk Badoink

Oh and I just ordered new strings for my bass, a set of Rotosound Swingbass 66 LF's to replace Elixers. The last 20 somewhat years I used Elixer only on my basses. But since I have this Steinberger type of bass, I ordered a set of Rotosounds for it, as there are not many double ballend strings out there for normal money. I like the tone so much, | ordered Rotosounds too for the Pink P-bass now.

Also ordered a package of two clothes to polish frets on the fretboard.

I'm done for now, and will not order anything else this week!

Well, I just ordered two new volume knobs and the tone knob for my "pink bass". The old ones are corroding, and being like 30 years old it became time to replace them........

Just picked up AutoTheory from the shop. I trialed it and instantly built a new track with it. I used BeatMap as a bass line generator and AutoTheory to move the static BeatMap notes into the chord progression. Very inspirational, so I had to buy it

If you didn't trial it yet, you can do so for 30 days.

Yep, but it has this nice feature to move random notes into a chord progression. I first tried it with NoteSet, but that didn't work as well as this thing does, and NoteSet is arguably a lot harder to set up for this.

Yeah, I know. I bought noteset and ChordSet just before all the chord players started arriving. Kind of wish I hadn’t but hell, no time for regrets. Can you do the same thing with the Enlightenspeed or TonicMint players you think?

I also got the noteset/chordset combo. I still like those as well, just for another way to get to chord progressions. The combination of one being a player whereas the other being not, makes it a bit fiddly to use.

I have no idea, have to look into that. Another strong point with AutoTheory (for me) is that it is not a player, and has four separate outputs for chords and four separate for melody. You could do that with a player on top of a combinator that holds four synths, but then those synths share the mixer channel of the combinator. Routing synths inside a combi to separate mixer channels is just another level of chaos :puf_bigsmile:

It seems that TonicMint InRange can do the same, also a bit more fiddly as it needs Player Tap (afaics). It is on sale right now

Nice. Now you can use BeatMap as an awesome bassline generator

I might pick up InRange myself, as it is on sale now and will open up yet more options for experimenting with chord progressions. I'm just starting with this kind of stuff and I like it :puf_bigsmile:
