Guys this is serious.
Possible gluten intolerance...
Kill myself now or take the incredible time and effort necessary to continue my glamorous poverty lifestyle?
I already eat rice like some guy who already eats rice.
Fresh bakery bread was part of my decision to move to this god forsaken hellhole 40 odd years ago.
Once had a potato based bagel, don't ask
Ur vote counts!
So what happens when you eat gluten?
Shit your brains out or what?
I have no experience w this sort of thing.

What the hell are you smoking man? There’s no such thing as gluten free pasta. There’s just pasta.

If I had to stop eating gluten I’d just give up pasta and savour the memories. Anything else would be the culinary equiv of the star wars franchise.

And I’d eat curry for the rest of my life.
The world’s other best food type.

Did I already start a curry thread? Can’t remember.

Yeah, that pretty much describes it.
Not as pleasant as it would seem to the casual observer.

Well, it might not fit your definition of real pasta, but here it is (even from italy ;) )

It’s not pasta. Pasta is made with wheat. That’s something that looks like pasta.
Much like a lot of the pop music these days. It may sound like music but it isn’t actually music.

It pains me to hear it my friend.
I live in dreaded fear of such a condition.
So far the only thing I know of that will do it to my system like clockwork is sauerkraut in wine. If it’s just normal sauerkraut I’m ok. (Whatever that means in terms of sauerkraut and one’s digestion)
I love the stuff but I wouldn’t start a thread over it.

Like an allergy to eighth note triplets...
Now that would hurt

Don't be taking my 1/8 note offset.
U call that a drumbeat?

I think I prefer the pasta at this point.
Durum beat...

I'm about to make beef cheeks in a kind of very wine-y tomato sauce (gravy technically) with a load of other stuff like carrots n chit, then eat it all with pasta. Caserecci to be precise.
If I remember I'll post photos.

Non wheat "pasta" is not so bad, but I have yet to find a substitute for bakery bread.

Exactly what I did this weekend. We had friends for lunch and I made a beef cheek ragu with home made fettuccine. NAILED IT

Beef cheek used to be a cheap cut of meat here, but recently it's become "discovered" by food wankers and the price has gone way up. Still relatively cheap though and still awesome

I don't know where 'here' is for you but in the UK (where I'm at at the mo) it's the same. Which is why I was pretty happy to find a deal. Its the same with ox tail and short ribs. But there is still a limited number of enthusiasts so if you wait you can often get it cheap.
Spain where I'm usually at these days, is even worse. It's not fashionable...they just appreciate it so it's almost never cheap.
