Difference in deal temperature

I've noticed that on the reasonstudios front page, under shop, they have "hot deals". As I am partial to hot deals, I click with enthusiasm only to find a bunch of normal, room tempered deals. This had me wondering if someone at Reason studios is pulling a Richard-Pryor's-character-in-Superman-3-move, skimming away the hotness of the deals hoping no one will notice.

Well, I did notice and I demand an explanation!
