He is insinuating that his findings can be of alien tech. Can be.

But is this the language barrier that makes me misunderstand that what I quoted is misleading?
Please address precisely what I quoted and what I might have misunderstood.
Disagree. He is very clearly suggesting that his findings are. He's not a noob - he knows very well what he's doing - it's not a language barrier. And as the article explained, his "scientific method" is about as scientifically sound as pink flying elephants. This is not how science works, and I'll wager his "findings" won't stand up to scientific scrutiny by peer reviewed follow up. But look forward to further discussion in this thread.

LMAO!!! Using anything Matt Gaetz says as testimony is not a very solid base.

I'm not completely sold on his way of communicating things.
For example, it's confusing to understand how he's collecting and using data from control regions, based on what he's writing in his blog on Medium.

First he said:
"My main concern is that we may not find anything other than plastics and volcanic ashes, the abundant constituents in the control areas that we will survey beyond the meteor site. "

And in a later post: "The spherules were found primarily along the most likely path of IM1 and not in control regions far from it!"

I would have expect him to find no spherules at all in the control regions.

And in a more recent post I got the impression that he's backpedaling even more:
"Currently, we are comparing the composition and morphology of spherules along the meteor path to those in control regions far away."
So now he has found spherules even in control regions far away from the expected meteorite path?? Has he selected the worst control regions in scientific history, like immediately adjacent, and slightly further away, to the meteorite path?

Again a disclaimer that I might have misunderstood something, but right now it seems to me like he's backpedaling and without further explanation adapting to the unexpected fact that he's found spherules in control regions {b]far away[/b] from the meteorite path.

But to be fair, look carefully at the quotes from the Engadget link you posted, and compare it with what Avi actually wrote; After re-reading that, my conclusion is still that Engadget misunderstood what Avi said:

This is what Engadget misunderstood:
"Last month, theoretical physicist Avi Loeb made headlines with the sensational claim that tiny spherules recovered from the bottom of the ocean were probably of alien origin. “It’s most likely a technological gadget with artificial intelligence,” he said to The New York Times"
This is what Avi actually said in NYT:(linked in the Engadget article[/url])
"Last month, Dr. Loeb led an expedition to retrieve fragments of the fireball off the western Pacific seafloor. On June 21, he claimed that he had. And such discoveries, he says to the chagrin of many of his colleagues, may be the way scientists find evidence of extraterrestrial life.

“Not biological creatures, the way you see in science fiction movies,” Dr. Loeb said. “It’s most likely a technological gadget with artificial intelligence.”"
So IMO he doesn't claim to to have found a technological gadget. He's referring to that IF/b] he'll find something of alien origin, it's more likely to be a technological gadget rather than biological findings"

The way I see this, is that it's absolutely sensational - whether it's an insane conspiracy of credible whistleblower & Co lies or a conspiracy of a lot of ppl keeping crashed UFO's unconfirmed for 85 years.
Coulthart has made up his mind: "We are not alone":

Extremely exciting development. For the news-addict it's a win-win whatever the resolution will be. It's like a lottery with only two tickets, you either win a million $ or a trillion $

Alas, afaik Swedish state controlled, tax funded media basically forgot to even mention this, even after the hearing.

When stuff like this happens I am reminded of Regan's speech about a perceived threat from space would unite the world as one.
I lean towards there being other life out there possibly as I have had two inexplainable sightings of 'something' but I find it convenient that this is coming out now. Personally I don't think they have craft and beings and it is being used as a manipulation tool for fear and control.

How can you force people to pay for a TV license forever if they dream of dating space aliens, and leave planet Earth one day. Having dreams could be an anti social condition, and need to be controlled or suppressed. Let Netflix do all that dreaming business for you instead

Government is asking 3 ex-government employees what government is hiding from the public. The worse part is the abuse some of the people got.
Forget the UFOs for a bit. Somebody with a very high clearance level and trust, under oath, said many crimes were committed. Are those crimes beyond the reach of the Dept of Justice?

Unfortunately, not the first time:

Read on a thread on a different forum. Quoting partially:

"The short answer is we’re looking at a new religious movement operating within the US military entertainment complex that has successfully infected the corridors of power there, and everywhere that US culture has got a successful hold (so pretty much everywhere).

It’s currently in the process of being weaponised politically, largely by the far right, in the same way that the Christian Evangelical movement was in the 1980s. Whether it’ll work for them is another matter, but they’re having a good go at it…

I can point you all to some good investigative writing on what’s going on if you’re interested – there’s a piece coming out any day now by Chris Wiley in the New Yorker that I think will nail it."

I am still waiting for that pece to come out to better understand what these people are doing, but I am definitely on the camp of these whole hearings and shit being nothing but BS.

This take says it all (starts at 13:51):

As with Russiagate, which became conspiracy theory for mainstream liberals, the thing that bothers me is that this all seems very Pentagon / CIA driven. These people are not our friends and it actually disgusts me how many people on what used to be called the left think that the CIA and the FBI are allies because of Trump or whatever shit Rachel Maddow is getting them to believe this week..

So even though we dont agree on much Enoch was right earlier in the thread to question the provenance of videos being shared - whether that's by me, him or anyone else - because we are all getting our strings pulled somewhere along the line from our favourite you tubers, twitter accounts, political pundits etc..

Well said, Tiny. it is obvious to anyone with even basic understanding of the world that liberals are not left of anything but only left of far right.

The quoted comment comes from the author of a book (also turned movie) called "Mirage Men".

It is interesting how the wellness industry was co-opted by the far right.

But.. Would you believe it more if space aliens land near a tiny village in Mozambique, saying "Take us to your leader" in Swahili, instead of English and in DC?

It is not, according to that very cool headed and reasonable past event in DC, not too far from the Whitehouse lawn. No one can delete what happened, but are free to pretend it never happened. In record, under oath, forever, until the next solar flair, the next black swan or black rain, or whatever comes first...

At the end of the day, that's pretty much what needs to happen. Over 6.8 billion smartphones in the world, billions of 4K video recording in the hands of the average (first world) citizen, and over 2.8 billion people flying in commercial air flights every year. Yet all we have is grainy black and white video and people who know someone that told them there's aliens here and we have alien tech.

Seems legit.
