I’m glad you didn’t call it guilty pleasures. nobody should feel guilty for enjoying something (unless it’s reality TV, maybe 😆). cheesy, though? heck, yeah!

here are a couple of mine:

don’t understand a word of either (well, maybe A word), but the former has a really nice chorus melody that gradually brought me around to enjoying the ridiculousness of the rest, and the latter is French children’s music, and I don’t care, but I love it. I celebrate Chantal Goya’s entire catalogue. 😂

Actually not afraid to admit to any. There’s a whole load of totally brilliant cheese. And if my friends groan j just say “wait, wait...here comes the good bit. “ :)

I am not afraid to admit I could not believe the sound coming from the radio was the same as my beloved VL-Tone. I tried to tell the world, but could barely tie my shoes (back then).

It's a lie, my Casio never sounded that good :D

That first one is a great track, catchy tune and he's kinds mesmerising too. Great use of the Korg M1 Organ Bass too.

The 2nd one, she's easy on the eye. ;-)

This guy will give the first bloke a run for his money though:-

Kim Wilde - Never Trust A Stranger With Your Heart. A banging anthem. Change my mind.

Also, ABBA - Mamma Mia is objectively a masterpiece no discussion.

Not sure they qualify as particularly cheesy though...?

Madonna, Ray of Light. Fun fact, I'm the only Madonna fan in my flat, and I'm also the only heterosexual.

Pretty much anything by McFly. Behind the naff TOTP boy band thing are some really well written pop songs.

Great video from what I remember.
Wasn’t that the Asian/Indian jungle track?
