Or a bomb.

I'm not sure, but I've got a strong hunch that Jagwah and Benedict may have recently been vaccinated.

I need to watch it again on a better medium than a VHS tape from Blockbuster
I once went into a Blockbusters and asked if they had the Alejandro Joderowski film Santa Sangre.
They directed me to the shelf with xmas films. They thought I said Santa’s Angry. True story.
Having Quentin Tarantino helping people out in a video club was one in a million back then.

They just opened up locally for my age group at 8 AM (26 minutes ago). The official website continues to crash. Well, maybe next year...
After 2-1/2 hours of crashes and endless page refreshes, I finally got through the 8 pages of stuff to fill out, chose a time slot that indicated more than 1 appointment was still available, pressed "continue" to get my appointment only to get a message that all remaining appointments had been taken in the 15 seconds after I hit the button.

When we started there over 7000 appointments available. There is one site in the state about 70 miles away with 5 open slots tomorrow but we are in the middle of a two day blizzard so no way to get there

Nothing to be done until next week's vaccine deliveries, which is when my wife (who did get an appointment) will be getting her first shot.

La de da....

I’ll take my shot and all.
But though I qualify as a senior and can easily isolate, frankly it feels pretty greedy to be getting one before the delivery people and other minimum and no wage people who have to keep working, not to mention our profit driven prison system where there’s no social distancing.

Please don't say this sort of stuff, even as a joke. We need everyone to accept the vaccine.
I won't be taking a vaccine that's just been a year in development and rushed out.

Vaccines are still a personal choice in 2021 and rightly so.
I think it is important for people to understand that a vaccine, by definition, injects one with an actual dead virus in which the hosts immune system mounts a response to become “immune”. This new experimental option being rolled out is technically a therapeutic that uses mRNA tech to change cell DNA. It was rushed to market using vaccine classification for some legal reasons which I can’t recall.

There is a reason why no drug company released an actual coronavirus vaccination to combat the common cold prior to 2020. You can bet it would have been an absolute gold mine that would have been exploited if it was possible.

No, that's not how it works. It really works without changing the DNA inside the cell. Here is exactly how it works and what tricks it is using: https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/rever ... r-vaccine/

Also the category of vaccines that use dead viruses is getting smaller and smaller. The other vaccine is using a different corona virus that was modified to produce the covid19 spike protein so the immune system can develop the matching antibodies in advance, but it does not contain dead SARS-CoV-2 viruses.

DNA was supposed to read mRNA, auto correct.

With an mRNA vaccine, the idea is to get a segment of mRNA that codes for a specific viral protein into a cell.

I got a letter in the post today telling me my appointment is in 2 days time. I didn't request anything from any one.
I am wary of getting it because I have MS and 2 days notice is not enough time to think about the implications to my immune system and a possible retriggering of an attack to skip up to the nurse with my sleeve rolled up.
I think I will be refusing the offer at the moment.

Well I went ahead and had the Astrazeneca vaccine on Friday...

Friday
9am: Had the jab, stung a little but all good
3pm: Slight headache, bit tired
8pm: Felt very tired, head pounding, took codeine and paracetamol...fell asleep.
11pm: Woke back up, felt terrible, aching muscles and limbs and barely had the energy to move

Saturday
Layed in bed all night and couldn't sleep. Couldn't get comfortable because it just hurt whatever position I was in
5am: Got out of bed as I had to go to work, felt terrible, dizzy, couldn't think straight, head pounding and body aching all over but managed to get to work. Took more codeine and paracetamol as well as some caffeine tablets to wake me up
Crap day at work and basically just watched to clock until 1.30pm when I finished.
2pm: Got home and crawled into bed and slept for 12 hours.
Woke up 3 hours ago and I now feel ok! My arm is sore from the injection but apart from that no adverse effects.

That was an absolute rollercoaster..I haven't felt that ill in years, it was awful. If that is just a taste of covid I truly feel sorry for the people who get it.
I guess I was one of the unlucky ones that get hit bad by the vaccine. I know of a few people who have had similar reactions.

Thoughts:

If you are going to have the vaccine be prepared with painkillers and arrange a day off work. You may not have a reaction at all or just a headache but you just never know? The wide differences in reactions of people could be individual, genetic or even down to the batch of vaccine created?

Take the guidelines seriously because like I said if that was a taste of the virus without the full blown infection and the breathing issues and other symptoms it is a nasty nasty thing to get.

Be safe.

I received my second jab two days ago. Haven't noticed any side effects, unlike the first one, when I felt a slight confusion overnight.

People here are still listless about the vaccination. The waiting list is short, even though it's publicly available with no priority groups.

got the first AstraZeneca injection yesterday, feel a bit rough today but nothing too bad, just a good excuse to do nothing LOL

Obviously I'd have chosen a different 'brand' if I had the choice, but can't, you simply get the vaccine they reserved for you here in the netherlands

He may have meant the 2nd jab?

I haven't been texted yet. I'm 45. I expect in the next month or so I will receive a text here in the U.K.

sorry just saw this, 2nd shot yes. haven't turned into anything unnatural yet, or acquired any super/mutant powers for that matter. good luck everyone, I hope that if you want the shots you can get them soon.

55 in Scotland. Haven't even received the letter yet.

I do know a fair amount of people that are a little bit older then me who have got the vaccine now. No real issues for any of them.
