I forgot about that massive global meltdown already. As if it never really happened. Strange.

Cause it didn't affect you much or at all.

It didn't affect me at all and I didn't even notice it happened 😂

Friends telling me via messages there was something wrong with my email was what alerted me. We will never know how it truly affected our accounts, and the cause behind it.
Let's hope for the OpenTitan project to be a thing one day.

I slept through the Great Google Meltdown, it's been too cloudy for the Great Conjunction, and I've never seen or read The Great Gatsby. I'm too young to have seen the previous Great Depression, but maybe this time around...

People from 2120 will look back and say about the same thing, from the safety of their brains inside Google's formaldehyde jars :D

These tech companies are also massaging and censoring subjects they do not agree too, so obviously their dominance is not just an issue when there is an outage. But they have already started to dictate the narrative in the public space. The search results you get is no longer un-biased, this is especially prevalent in the fields of politics and health. Perhaps it is coming to many other areas as well (laws, science, human rights?), and when doing so they obviously manipulate peoples opinions and hide important facts/discussions, that could be useful for the advance of science and the preservation of democracy and freedom of speech. Corporations already influence politicians heavily in Washington with the network of lobbyist and campaign contributions, so hoping politicians will solve this may be futile as well. Can possibly become more problematic in the future. Orwells 1984 is here, 15 yrs later so his timing was wrong and he was wrong about the main players, but otherwise his prediction may be scarily true in many other aspects. The moden form of book burning?

I don't think people care about this book anymore, as long as they are entertained and distracted 24/7. I don't even know if most know about the book anyway.

It's a brave new world.
