Apple stealing Ableton's thunder eh! It looks like Bitwig giving them a run for their money made them pick up their game so I say this can only be a good situation for us consumers.

I liked the Roland R8 story in particular. :)

This session live-looping is now getting into a standard feature that any DAW user will expect to have in some way or another in their DAW.
Reason has to make their take on it.

And what about a querantine offer?

Actually, they're stealing this particular feature from Garageband (which may or may not have stolen it from Ableton, which may or may not have borrowed the idea from Studio Vision Pro, which…). ;)

Oh yeah, there's definitely nothing new under the sun!
Still, I can see this being a big competitive threat to Ableton, with Logic already being such a strong choice for Mac users.

It's just another way to live perform. Every pattern clip daw has it, every last one.

So, so far that's Ableton, Bitwig, Digital Performer, Garageband, Logic... FL Studio? I don't really know how that works. As you say, on the way to being a standard feature. Competition!

Yeah clip launching is becoming a standard. Reason already has blocks. A feature that is half baked at the minute but could be fleshed out to be competitive with stuff like Bitwig.
