So many to choose from and i'm particuarlly partial to the late Bill hicks but pound for pound i'd proabaly go to Dylan's concerts first. Please post a small clip of one of your fav comedians so ww can all take 5 mins out of our day and just laugh.

It certainly is an acquired taste. I'm weird.

hmm... hard to pick something from such an immensely wide area - "ministry of funny walks" is a classic that comes to mind... here in sweden we've got gösta ekman / papphammar, robert gustafsson, felix herngren... there's always mr bean, "gareth" in the (uk) office, "brick" tamblin, little britain, ahmed the dead terrorist, pixar has many great animated moments... dumb & dumber... no... picking something out as my "fav" would not be possible. computer says no. one thing that amazes me is that some of the best moments are still not singled out on youtube. film maker roy andersson (who I often met in the 90s) has a very specific "grey" kind of comedy which reveals a lot of tragedy (in his characters) oddly mixed with his storytelling - so brilliantly done that it's actually the timing that makes us laugh. just like in reason timing is everything.

To expand into sketches i always remember this sketch from Bo Selecta when it came out . Its Christina Aguilera with a thick scouse (Liverpudlian) accent. The prardox cracks me up.

ok - here's a few of roy andersson's classic commercials, actually more like great short films; these are translated if any dialogue at all. he did many for the insurance company called trygg-hansa.



(always kind of timing tragedy in funny ways)

(roy has made many movies as well; the latest one "en duva satt på en gren..." was so great that I had to see it three times in a row. he is in his 70s now I think. one of my old co-workers from the 90s is acting in that film. Roy does not always have a comic 'punchline' either, some stuff he's made is ultra dark & makes you think about things forever)

But I think I'd have to point out The Rubberbandits. Yeah, two yobs from Ireland with bags on their heads. They did an album with some great songs (more on their channel)

and my favorite (Which is partly a parody of a Mark Gormley video.)

But really you should search youtube for them, because they have a lot of comedy videos, specials and interviews that are great.

Anyone here familiar with Bo Burnham's work? I reckon people on this forum would love him. He's insanely clever and is extremely talented, especially with his music
