This is a pet peeve of mine. No fade out and no acknowledgement of the song coming to an end. Not even a reverb tail. Does this ever work for you? Can you share any examples? I don't think I'm that obsessive to have a distaste for a track because the artist put little to no effort in the ending.

Like wam bam here we go doing 90 mph on the freeway and then you hit an invisible force field that sends everybody flying through the windshield. I guess I should've worn my seatbelt.

I need to hear things like this, often I get so excited about doing the thing, that I forget the purpose of the thing is to entertain. Thank you. Sometimes all the pig needs is some lipstick.

That was actually an apology btw, I meant no harm lol

I quite often start and stop songs quite abruptly if i think it suits. I don't mind fade outs and ins if they are interesting. If they're not i feel like skipping on.

I'll unhappily admit to being a lazy producer too. Hi Peter

Yeah I suppose it depends on the context. Before I went off on my drunken rant, I heard a track with no ending at all as if the producer exported loop as audio file and forgot that his loop markers didn't cover the whole arrangement. That's how jarring it was. Anyways, no big deal.

Hi Zac. Hi Aeox. Hi everybody. I actually do have a Minilogue. Interesting summer.

I once heard a quote about reasonable men... something about them never ruling the world...

Here's one that springs to mind - the sudden silence is jarring in a way that no other ending would be, and is totally right for the track. [Edit - wrong track!]

Let it slide opens abruptly. Dies quite suddenly. Is that a bad song?
