Musicians don't have an UNION
Like metal-industry or wood-indusrty etc. have theirs? Maybe we could create one, I'd be ready to join it myself. The musician's over the times haven't only made music but also been part of some really intelligent fields too.
That may be true in sunny Finland, but there is a musician's union in the US for many many years now.

That depends, as it is primarily for studio and live "for hire" work (like live musicals, etc), not for bands and artists. In fact, as someone straddling that line I learned it was sometimes more trouble than it was worth, when trying to perform promotional shows for my music and being approached by the union officials for working below scale. Not very flexible there, so a little annoying IMO.

Same is true for Norway: http://www.musikerorg.no/s.cfm/11/English
There are other unions more specialized as well, for example for opera singers.
So does Finland it seems: https://www.muusikkojenliitto.fi/in-english/

I remember the stickers on a lot of instrument cases from my teens and that's a looong time ago.
"Keep music live" used to be the slogan.

But: The Finnish Musicians’ Union (founded in 1917) is a trade organization for professional musicians
True, but the point of a union is often to secure workers rights and such. For hobbyists like me, you guys are kind of my union. However, if I ever were to go pro I'd join a union in an instance.
