I went for the iPod. I've still got a 160GB click wheel classic from back when apple didn't suck. I love it. In a way I wouldn't need anything for the last few months or whatever, just listen to the stuff in my head, but that wasn't an option.

The thing about streaming is that I listen to my own music quite a lot and loads of it hasn't been released. I listen to things I'm working on.

I was actually thinking or wondering if the day will come soon where streaming will take over everything, they won't bother making MP£ player equiv, and I won't actually be able to listen to my own music on my phone ipod etc. I mean they got rid of headphone jacks, right? I guess whatever the herd wants...

I don't think it would be completely bizarre to have a session like this where someone makes a bunch of noise and records it . Later, they could sculpt and structure the sounds and incorporate them into songs or whatever.
