Hyperdub

Hi All!

Has anyone heard of a subgenre of dubstep called Hyperdub?

Every time I Google it all's I get is a record label called Hyperdub.

I've only found this after a good 10 minute extensive search:-

Not sure if that's real Lol!

If anyone can link me to any artists that make this genre of music or what music elements it consists of, I'd be most grateful. Trying to help someone out on a track.

It's a record label. Listen to some of the music from that label

But there's all different genre's on that label...

Electronic, Dubstep, UK Bass, Future Garage, Ambient etc

I'm just saying listen to the dubstep on that label, it basically matches the description in urban dictionary.

The guy you're trying to help should know about the supposed genre he's talking about. Right?

I'd guess if someone is using "Hyperdub" as a genre name they mean stuff that sounds like some combination of Kode9 or Burial (i.e. stuff that label was putting out 2004-2006-ish).
