Man, I'm doubtful.Artists pay UnitedMasters a competitive rate to distribute their music across the internet from Spotify to YouTube to SoundCloud, and they split the royalties while the artist retains the rights to the master recordings.

DIY is best I guess if you know how the digital world works. Using Distrokid for example.
Its kind of interesting but if I was to paint the darkest picture I could imagine I'd say it rather looks like they ARE a label, but a label with too many customers where only a few of them bubble up and are actually taken care of.
Then again who really needs care from a label these days, access to the market places is where it's at.
