The only things that separates functioning and non functioning is that functioning drinkers see that you need to do things in life to creat things to celebrate with Beer. Non functioning want to go directly to the teat. You basically need to offer things to the Beer God or he kicks your ass in!
Then you end up making up reasons and excuses for drinking like a non-functional! Sometimes it seems just making it through a work day is enough for me to celebrate. I had more than my fair share last night but I finished an album which is a legit reason methinks. :)

My job will be demanding more of me soon. Somebody just got let go and our department positions are difficult to fill. I expect a full time schedule plus some occasional twelve hour shifts. That will take me down to a "production weekend" kind of ethic with music which I'm fine with because three full days of music is maybe a bit too intense for sustainment. I will have to adjust my music production quote to 24 hours a week. I'll have more money for booze and plugins. :D I'm really looking forward to buying the Oeksound Soothe dynamic resonance suppressor which costs a pretty penny. I ran through a trial as I was producing my album and it would definitely be worth it for me.

Soothe sounds interesting. Gonna check that thing out. I have loads of resonance problems with certain processes. Been using Soundhack plugs thius far but aware there must be better options out there.

Might have to stay out of the pub for a few weeks to fund it after the trial though! ;)
