I have some screen capture software from when we had that 5 minute challenge in the PUF but I'm guessing there's newer stuff now.

What are you guys using?

OBS studio in display capture mode.

Are you saying you're missing the 5 minute challenge?

I quite liked them.

What I'm working on now is living up to my promise of sharing my attempt at creating KIKBAK-esque sounds by processing 808 and real drums with stock Reason devices (or at least a consistent little drum kit to encourage Reason users to make their own sounds).

Well if its a challenge i'm sure it could spice things up around the forum!

If you're on a Mac, Quiktime works great. But you'll need soundflower to route the audio to it

Screenflow 6 is great! Even includes some decent editing capabilities.

For Windows, Flashback Express is a good, lightweight, user friendly and free option too. I prefer it to OBS for ease of use.

Does that play nice with Aero?

I don't know, I presume so, I use it on Windows 10 without issues.

Bandicam. It's free, but there's a watermark on the free version and it's limited to 20 minutes. I bought a couple of licenses though, so I can attest that the full version works fantastic. Windows only.

Screen Flow (Mac only) can also be used with a watermark for free, with no time limit IIRC. If you know anyone with a paid copy, you can send them your files for rendering without the watermark!
:)

A month ago I was fooking for Windows screen recorders that would claim to capture video and audio both, and came across https://screen.center by accident (best free product). I also tested out a couple of other screen recorders that recorded video well , but nothing that worked good with audio.
