Not watching but playing - I got Starfield a couple of days ago and its pretty great. Well.... the story is only alright and most of the characters are pretty boring, but ghe visuals are incredible, the music is cool, its pretty funny seeing how many sci fi references they manage to plug in. At one point I met a doctor who introduced himself by saying 'Pleade tell me the nature of your medical emergency. ' which madd me actually laugh out loud. Great side quest with an Icelandic dj which I quite enjoyed. Best of all (for me) was meeting a New Zealander who says to look out for yourself if shits gone pukaru and whoever at Bethesda wrote that really, really knows their stuff.

Two things.

This, pj Harvey in concert. Very very good, lovely production too.

Second, the new Doctor Who specials. Not their best work but the last 15 minutes of the final one really sticks the landing, and the new Doctor looks excellent so thats hopeful.

Same, loved it as a kid. Watched a few online last year and it doesn’t hold up well compared to some other shows from my childhood - but still loved it for the nostalgia aspects for sure.

more on sci fi.... I just finished the new Doctor Who xmas special. It's.... well it's a mixed bag. It's certainly not series six. I mean, stealing the plot from Labyrinth including a musical number, and the flying pirate ship from Stardust.... well, okay then. On the other hand there's real potential: it's a delightfully queer middle finger to all those not my Doctor idiots, and the new Doctor is very watchable and his dynamic with his companion is excellent. Plus yay for Russell T writing an entire subplot just to get the Doctor to say LOVE THE GLOVE BABY LOVE THE GLOVE which made me shit myself laughing and completely bypassed the people I was watching it with. It's worth it just to see the scene with the Doctor dancing to a very smooth piece of drum and bass, in a kilt. Great stuff, don't take it too seriously.

I am watching the original Bad News Bears (from 1976). Oh my god what a fantastic and funny movie, those kids are great actors and totally hilarious. And you can't make jokes like that anymore and that's a goddamn shame.

But we aint gonna take it from the mainstream media. And you know what that means? It means a hell of a bit of god damn bad news for the mainstream media!

Watching DARK. It is so critically acclaimed and highly rated, and I am up to episode 5 now and I am still bored to tears. I can only hope things improve in Season 2 or towards the end of season 1.

Sounds like my experience with Strangers Things S2 and S3. S4 was pretty awesome though.
