Joshua Slice, a professional animator who’s worked on Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and other cartoon features. Lucas (voiced by Slice’s nephew Lucas). It’s usually pretty ridiculous to demand a feature-length story based on 20 seconds of adorable animation, but Lucas is the kind of character that could go the distance. Lucas the Spider may be little more than a mere animation test. [Either way, we’re in]

I watched Detectorists based on the recommends here. Lovely show, totally enjoyed it. I really liked that everyone got a satisfying ending. And I swore that song at the start of season 3 was Faun Fables, but it was The Unthanks, and that was a treat to discover them.

My current favorite show is Patriot, which is on Amazon's streaming service. It's so great. It's like Wes Anderson directing a Cohen brothers script.

I'm still watching Star Trek TNG reruns
The new series is total shite stopped watching it. Can't beat the original series or TNG.
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!

I started watching "Britannia" in my rabid wait for the last season of Game of Thrones. It was "ok". The writing is nowhere near as good as either Thrones nor HBO's old series Rome, but the production value is pretty cool. I might keep watching; might not. It was cool to see Emperor Palpatine himself back in a role where he can chew dialog, though!

I just started watching Batman: The Animated Series

Haven't seen it since before I could really remember/comprehend cartoons.

Just finished The Frankenstein Chronicles. It is nice new twist for the original. I hope they do a third series. They left it wide open so there should be more to come.

I'm about 90% done with Jessica Jones Season 2. It's OK. Ash vs. Evil Dead finally stepped things up this last episode, though - I'm really enjoying that one.

I liked season 2 of Jessica Jones... I probably like her best from all of Netflix' Marvel stuff... Although the Punisher was quite impressive and weirdly satisfying... JJ season 2 seemed more about her origin story... I like stuff like that...

Just saw the Outsider. That one was ok for me... I mean I like Japanese culture, so it had that working for me... But somehow it felt a bit long... Had to skip forward a fair bit to make it through...

I really hated Jared Leto in The Outsider. I thought the movie is good, pretty standard fare, by the numbers. Nice budget, costumes, and acting from literally everyone else in the movie. But Jared Leto was like a block of wood.

Have you seen any of the current SNL skits with Chad? That's what Jared Leto was like in The Outsider.

I definitely see your point there! ;)
Though Leto is a bit easier on the eyes! :)

Just watched a short Brian Eno documentary. Some great ideas on different ways of working on musical projects.

I love this version of GITS so damn much, I've got, for real, a different SAC image as a desktop screen on all my PCs and phone :ugeek:

Part of that magic is definitely Kanno's eclectic scoring. Played all four OSTs, yet again, just yesterday while doing the kitchen tiling

Unfortunately there was more tiling than just the four SAC OSTs, so I had to go through Kanno's Cowboy Bebop scores again straight after. Unfortunately there, there's still more tiling. She needs more work ;)
_______

What am I watching right now? Took a punt on Syfy's The Expanse; it's a gamble cos everyone knows how trigger-happy SyFy is on cancelling their shows. An interesting but very slow start, with a large cast and a plot that really doesn't talk down to its audience. It really picks up from s01e04 though. Deep into season 2 now; it's turning something rather special. Largely utilises real physics, and is probably the best-looking SF, and proper hard SF show at that, ever produced. Staggering beautiful on my home cinema screen. Season 3 starts next month.

The original trailer is crap and doesn't do it justice:

I liked "Dark Matter", but was canceled. Another show canceled by syfy I used to like a lot (Robert Carlyle) was Stargate SGU. Maybe it was too dark, but I thought it was great. The Expanse is very good.

I have no idea why it took me so long to do this, but I recently started watching Rick & Morty. Just burned through all 3 seasons in a binge watch. My kind of humor.

Anyone else get into Santa Clarita Diet? Dark humor, very well done IMO. Great writing and good cast too!
