Sad. We are all getting old and popping off.

Sad but alas, not unexpected. He'd been battling cancer for a while and announced on FB a few months ago his stopping all treatment in order to return quality to his remaining life.

A massive fan here, of all his work from Soft Machine through the countless Gong incarnations and his more experimental works of the 80s.

I am grateful that in my life I have seen him perform on numerous occasions and the absolute joy that the audience and I got from being a part of the show could never be communicated with mere words.

Safe trip Daevid Allen.
