This site is sick and I love how they give music examples of each genre. I just wish it included electronic rock. Definitely bookmarking this one for further study. It's good to know this stuff. :s0547:

This is an oldie but a goodie. Some of those genres are made-up jokes, but most of them are pretty spot on. Funny that they have "goth" and bands like Sisters of Mercy & Bauhaus in "trance" and being a genetic root to "EBM". WTF?!

That Ishkur guy has some really strong opinions in each genre blurb. I agree with him for the most part. What he says is the harshest way you can put it in a thoughtful explanation. LOL.. most electronic music is total garbage. And most of the genres sound the exact same to me. It's funny how people take a lame genre, speed it up or slow it down, make the kick & bass heavier, and call it something else. Whatev.
