Indeed. A sad loss. Aphrodite's Child were epic. As was Demis' work with Vangelis later on in his career.

I wasn't a huge fan of his type of music but he had a great voice and was a larger then life character with very memorable songs.  Especially in the 70s.

The guy could talk (and of course sing) 7 different languages (portuguese included! :) )...

I got really curious about his stuff with Aphrodite's Child and Vangelis.

Most of his stuff is pretty cheesy, and that kept me away from much of his stuff!
