very sad news for Tangerine Dream fans… a big loss
+++ FAREWELL TO EDGAR +++

Dear TD Fans,

This is the saddest time in my life…

I’m so sorry to tell you that on January 20th, Tuesday afternoon, Edgar Froese, my beloved husband and best friend, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from the effects of a pulmonary embolism in Vienna.

I still can’t really believe this, it feels that unreal. I’m so infinitely sad.

Yours,
Bianca

OMG, I watched Tangerine Dream just last year at Circus Krone in Munich (Edgar was pretty shaky indeed - and seemed bewildered when he talked to the audience at the end - I'm sure nobody really understood what he was talking about :? ). He was a pioneer in electronic music. RIP :frown: !

Oh... very sad news.
One of my musical heroes.
Edgar and his TD companions had a large part into drawing me into music, and specially electronic music.
TD will always occupy a special place in my memories.
He will be missed.
His music will be missed.

Hell yeah E., you're a "cheesius".

I just got the news from friends.
Very sad day.

Tangerine Dream is great inspiration for me, they contributed to my fascination for sound.

I've been to some concerts the past 15 years; I especially remember the magical concerts in the beautiful Friedrichstadtkirche http://franzoesische-friedrichstadtkirc ... home-5.jpg and Shepherds Bush Empire London.
