just randomly popped up on my youtube feed. Now, I love Fever Ray - queer Swedish experimental pop is every box ticked for me. But this is next level, actual life changing stuff, maybe one of the greatest things I've ever seen, technically and artistically. Incredible stuff. At the end there's a post show bit with the band hugging and high fiving each other and so they should, they've just played the best show of their amazing lives.

yeh, this is great, I haven't come across it before. Seriously, watch this show. I started off being like, yeah this is pretty good, and by the end I was like, this is freakn incredible.
Karin has been non binary for awhile, did you know? so they rather than she.
Royskopp has also done some fantastic stuff with Robyn, incl one of my all time favorite songs -
There's more ideas in this track than most artists have in their entire careers. Video's a goddamn work of art as well.
I dunno, I've been having a bad time for the last little while with some personal stuff and also, you know, geopolitics. Rrally good to be reminded that we still live in a world with people who make such beautiful things.

Fever Ray has been one of the few new artists to catch my ear over the last 10 years. Her debut solo album was a masterpiece. Thanks for the link I’ll add it to my list!rorystorm wrote: ↑12 Feb 2025And this

Absolutely love Lydia Poët on Netflix and this track is so perfect for the end credits:

Fun fact: Karin used Reason for their first Fever Ray album, maybe the best album made in Reason?

The sampled manic laughter at the start of Voodoo Curse.... I wonder that's Ozzy Osbourne, from his 1980 debut album and the song 'Crazy Train' ? It's not inconceivable to suggest that a style that's all about lifting samples, might look to the contemporary influences of the time. The Ozzy song was released the year prior to the Scientist album

I love the mix of different musical styles in combination with the quirky lyrics and video.
