Moullinex X GPU Panic

Had a few tracks from each in various playlists for a while but saw them live in Porto at Eléctrico this year and now I’ve had to do a deep dive into their back catalogues. Love them both as independent artists but together, live, they just blew my mind. Then Kruder Dorfmeister the following day who’ve been a staple for the past 20 years or more and they also just completely reignited my love for them seeing them live.

Just wanted to add this link as it’s the best live performance I could find and my clips from Eléctrico were too short. I just wanted to lose my shit to the music. Obviously.

abstract.

I fn love this band by the way. Or, their albums from the 80s. After tabula rasa they went downhill fast which is a shame because at their peak........

I've recently discovered the British band Dark Horses. Great band!
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

I've been listening to more Electronic music (after exposure to the radio artists in the game Cyberpunk 2077). Recently I've been enjoying the Juno Dreams album Paradise (2018).

Cyberpunk 2077 has an excellent soundtrack too, huh. Great game too, I'm so glad they fixed it. I played it not really knowing much about it apart from the fuss made about the gameplay when it came out and when Johnny showed up I was like, you know, that guy looks like... hold on WAIT A MINUTE.

After I finished one of my kids got me into playing Forza 5 and that's the complete opposite soundtrack wise, good lord it's garbage. I honestly think the songs on it were picked by someone who genuinely actually hates music.

Today I'm listening to The Downward Spiral for the first time in maybe 25 years? It's pretty much like what I remember it, a collection of really good ideas sort of....jumbled together. The good bits are really good tho and by the good bits I mean Hurt, clearly. I dunno, I really love Pretty Hate Machine and nothing else Trent's done really works for me quite as much. Was checking out the NIN merch bit on Spotify and among the tshirts and vinyl there's a Downward Spiral umbrella and that is everything wrong with the world today.

I heard this on a late night Elektrip mix - never thought it was Elton John x D let alone that I'd like any of his music, but then again it's an official dance remix, and they did a great job, I gotta say!

Those visuals kind of remind me of one of my favourite 4k intros. Here are 4096 bytes of niceness:

A lot of nice Finnish music recently:

A nice incarnation of Nightwish

Vocals kind of mixed low, but Finnish ppl might notice they change from English to Finnish lyrics @ the end

Refurbished early demo:

And ofc CoB

Korppiklaani is a must
