Sad to read about the passing of Lee Scratch Perry this morning. Not everything he did was great, but the classics - War Inna Babylon, Heart of the Congo, Supersport, Blackboard Jungle - have been a great source of comfort and inspiration over my life.
Doh, Supersport was my phones autocorrect. It should be Superape. And a bunch of beautiful early Bob Marley songs like Duppy Conquerer and Small Axe.
RIP Lee Scratch Perry
I remember last time I saw him three years ago with its hat and colourful dreads... his legacy is forever.
Heaven is a more coloured place today.
