Sad to read about the passing of Lee Scratch Perry this morning. Not everything he did was great, but the classics - War Inna Babylon, Heart of the Congo, Supersport, Blackboard Jungle - have been a great source of comfort and inspiration over my life.

Doh, Supersport was my phones autocorrect. It should be Superape. And a bunch of beautiful early Bob Marley songs like Duppy Conquerer and Small Axe.

I remember last time I saw him three years ago with its hat and colourful dreads... his legacy is forever.

Been playing a lot of The clash's songs recently. Those guy's were influenced by Lee Scratch Perry - who in turn inspired me.
He was a - creative - one of a kind. Sad to see another Great go...
