ASIDE: Thanks to the Main Admin.

There was a time this site seemed fast and loose with epitaphs - and no one had the balls to curtail it.
A quick search seems to show that that has all been purged.

It is worth mentioning.

How strange that post was deleted when the subject was History America Tried Hard To Erase. Glad to learn it wasn't you who deleted that post. Weird decision from admins.

I am reading the few YT comments for the trailer. Pretty pathetic and sad. This is what you get when you erase History, or a post on a thread about the wrongs of History.

Funny thing is that trump didn't have much to do with this. More like the north just blasting their nuke test site and china telling them to get their act together.

EDIT: Besides...

and, Yes... meanwhile.... REALITY: "The needle hasn't moved at all." (The Devil is in the Details)
https://www.vox.com/2018/9/19/17878428/ ... eclaration

The problem is their agreement is extremely vague — and may actually prove bad news for the United States.

Here’s some of what they agreed to: Kim said that he’d travel to Seoul by the end of the year — a first for any North Korean leader — and that both sides will work to reduce tensions at their heavily militarized border. Kim and Moon even agreed to jointly bid to host the Olympics in 2032.

But on the issue that matters most to the United States — the dismantling of North Korea’s nuclear program — no one can claim much progress. Kim said he’d allow international inspectors into the country to watch as he destroys a missile engine testing site and a major nuclear facility, but experts say Pyongyang doesn’t actually need those specific sites anymore, which makes that a much less significant concession than it sounds.

Kim added the caveat that he’d follow through on his concessions if the US makes unspecified concessions of its own. That’s a pretty important caveat: The North Korean leader has basically offered to give up very little while expecting America to concede more before anything happens.

“North Korea is still expecting Washington to make the first move,” Duyeon Kim, a nuclear and Koreas expert at the Center for a New American Security think tank, tells me. “The needle hasn’t moved at all.

If we were to take a step back and look for the bigger picture (long run) we would see a massive opportunity for [NK.SK]. A giant in technology and a giant in raw material. Korea would take over the tech world. SillyCon Artist Valley would take a huge hit. Isn't total peace in the Korean peninsula a threat for the system in place right now?
What we see is a Kabuki theater. No one wants to look like a loser during a negotiation. The opportunity for Kim to transform himself from the dude who executed someone with an anti-aircraft gun in front of hundreds of spectators, to a very, very, very rich Dear Leader winning a Nobel for peace is there for him to grab. That's reality.

North Korea is sitting on trillions of dollars of untapped wealth, and its neighbors want in

The world is just a magical, funny place where events happen for no logical reasons.

The logical reason, is that. N Korea is getting brazen, attracting a lot of international attention that they had not received prior. This is embarrassing the US government, as this stalemate was swept under the rug long ago, and only looked like a win for them because of N. Korea's isolation, but is now looking like an active threat with NK's nuclear armament threatening Japan added alongside their siege-ready status overlooking Seoul.

Trump or otherwise, any US president would be forced to face this threat, and likely come to the same conclusion. Eat humble pie, or go down in history as the destroyer of worlds.

Interestingly, with the US stance on climate change, we may well be that anyway.

NoKo is getting attention now they never got before. Yet they've been a menace to the Western Hemisphere for years. At the same time? How do you compute this?

Logically, why worry then if the outcome would be exactly the same (WWIII/Climate change)? At least you won't suffer long when the last thing you see is a nuclear flash. Eating Humble pies (my favorite brand) while waiting for Armageddon. Nothing lasts forever. :|

The Koreans seem happy. I am not Korean but I am happy for them.

Enjoy the Kabuki dance (Japanese culture).

Menace to the Western hemisphere  are you for real? They can barely feed their own people. The only thing that was menacing about them, is that they haven't given up on their right to self-determination (now that they have the bomb, the 'menace' has teeth). After generations of suffering, they refuse to fold to the west's crippling pressure. Now it's at the point where they will force our hand... what's left to do to them that we haven't already done?

This perception we have of good guy vs bad guy is sick. Somehow we are always the good guy.

I will ignore the rest of your statements, as you are far too cavalier with my son's future.
