Re: Jiggery-Pokery Retrospective is a dope ass refill. Please make a volume 2
Ive been on the refill market for a few years. Its really the only way to get the best out of Reason if you dont have time to make every patch you need from scratch. Bitley is the king but I also enjoy developers that do refills for the lastest Rack extension releases as well. It juts takes the soun...

Re: Reason Sounds Sound Dated
Also Native Instruments isnt a DAW they are a "sounds" company soley. They shouldnt be compared. Reason started as a competitor maybe but they are no longer in the sound business as evidenced by no longer including instruments with each update.

Re: Reason Sounds Sound Dated
I cant believe this lasted 3 pages. This topic comes up all the time. No DAW has great stock sounds. None. Thats what VSTs are for and in the Reason world Rack Extensions and Refills. DAWS are about sequencing and workflow. Sounds are what you make yourself or separately purchase. OP even admitted t...

@galaxy my comments were not just about you or this thread specifically, however it was a reminder of something I've noticed on here pretty often thats actually pretty nasty from time to time. As a community we should salute the contributors. Selig has made great devices but also given away a lot of...

Re: Using a Loudness Meter
It's pathetic how much hate comments get directed at Selig. He's the most helpful and solid contributor to this forum. All I ever notice is him actually helping people and answering questions like mine from time to time. Internet hating is lame. It's the 21st century version of a 4th grade playgroun...

The SoundToys bundle is the absolute best and most useful FX suite on the market. EchoBoy being the greatest delay unit there is.

Re: Your Favourite Electronic Music Genre
Why is there no category for Hip Hop. Also Trap is not Hip Hop. Its a sub genre the way Punk is a sub genre of Classic Rock. Close but a different culture.

Still no one has put forth a full throttled argument that Synths arent Reason's strongest suit which was my intial point.

Re: Delay Throws/ Automation
@ tybband automating the original track is how I created the throw to begin with. But its just midi info. However I also tried duping the track but not cutting out the part from the original yet. Seems tedious to have to do that for every delay throw needed and defeats the purpose of automation.

Re: Delay Throws/ Automation
@Benedict delay throws are the term used when you just want delay on a certain word of a line for example. So my question is how to get the delay of that word on a track of its own. Automation creates a lane and midi info but I would like the actual audio on a track of its own.

Delay Throws/ Automation
Hey Guys,
How do you get the automated delay throws on a track of there own in reason. I've used to Titus to automate vocal delay throws and they have a midi track but now I need just an audio track of the throws and I'm having trouble figuring this out.. Thanks.

I definitely agree with Skullture about the last few Synths. The Legend and Expanse are the right direction in every way. I'm head over heels for those 2.

Re: What Reason really is...
Reading some of these are funny. Did I ever say I was giving up on Reason? Nope. Did I ever see Reason offered nothing for mixing? Nope. Did I ever say Reason had no sample based instruments at all? Nope. I did say that of all the things Reason does Synths has always been its strongest suit and the ...

Re: What Reason really is...
@Xyster huh what are all these stock DeEssers in Reason?? As far as Pianos you need more than one high quality choice thats for sure. The overall point is that Synths are Reason's strongest suit by very far. There are more synths than anything else, they constantly come out, and the Synth department...

@QVProd you get it. the amount of waves plugins that have no Reason equal is astonishing. also the amount of real instruments available not to mention the quality in VST form. @EnochLight In the case you mention I can see where it can be great. I get that. If you're bringing live instruments in to t...

What Reason really is...
After much thought and mixing a project on Reason earlier this year I've finally settled on what Reason is to me. I've been using it since 4 and to me Reason is what it was in the beginning an amazing place for synth based production. The amount of Synth RE we've gotten, Antidote, Expanse, Zero, Pre...
