Re: Reason 1.0 vs 10.0 - visual comparison
Yes colored wires, or even striped ones would be so cool. Perhaps even trendy fabric type of cables that are popular with headphone manufacturers now.

Re: Reason 1.0 vs 10.0 - visual comparison
If I had the option of having a typical amateur ugly third-party skin for free, or paying 2 euros for an 'official' skin that I knew was supporting Propellerheads, then I would pick the second option.

Re: Reason 1.0 vs 10.0 - visual comparison
I would only want Propellerhead made skins in the shop. Skinning should not be available to third parties because we would see a bunch of disgusting skins emerge, in the same way many ugly rack extensions have emerged. I’m especially picky about the native device colors. Subtractor is the wrong shad...

Re: Reason 1.0 vs 10.0 - visual comparison
Propellerheads should do the following: 1) update all of Reason to high resolution 2) make the rack and devices scalable/zoomable/vector 3) start selling device skins in the prop shop. For example, want to replace the ugly poo brown NNXT skin? Head over to the prop shop and buy a nice skin for a cou...

Re: Reason 10, why not X?
Putting an "X" in the name is tacky, predictable and lame especially since Apple has done it. I laugh at IK Multimedia because they're still sticking with names like "iRig". They copied the "i' from the iPhone, which many other companies copied at the time when the iPhone was first introduced. It wa...

Re: New UI For reason
I think it would be nice to have a little animated sequence where you can pull a rack device forwards so that it fills the screen then push it back when you're done, a bit like using a sliding rack device or a drawer. https://i.imgur.com/gTmD4t3.gif I do hope you're saying that for a joke, PB! UI a...

Re: New UI For reason
There are plenty of ways to handle a scaling interface, it just has to be as transparent as possible. Reasons own navigation pane already scales on a small scale (navigation pane should be an optional removable in the next UI, takes up way too much space at minimum and rarely used). Navigation pane...

Make Europa, Grain, Parsec foldable like Thor
New devices like Europa and Grain, as well as instruments like PX7, Parsec, etc are not foldable. We either see them at fully expanded view or fully minimised view, whereas Thor allowed a 'medium' view, where the most important functions were visible, and you could expand the device to full view if ...

Re: MClass Compressor vs Rack Extension Compressors
Compressor plugin developers often use words like, "silky, smooth, authentic, legendary" etc etc, which which is why I expect to hear a difference between the Mclass and more expensive plugins. I mean, if something is SO GREAT, and so silky, and so smooth, and so legendary, it should be able to imme...

MClass Compressor vs Rack Extension Compressors
Hi everyone, Lately I’ve been trialing a lot of compressors in the propellerhead shop, many have pretty graphics, but one thing that bothers me is that none of them seem to make ANY real difference compared to the MClass compressor. For example, I’ve just spend several hours comparing the Cakewalk C...

Re: Sorry Reason really loved you but i can't keep you :(
It's only natural that we want to explore different avenues after a while. Many guitarists have a collection of guitars, keyboard players may have a collection of different keyboard, and even producers have different pieces of hardware... so no need to make yourself feel guilty or to restrict yourse...

Re: Reason 10 BOX really irritated
Why does the dongle cost $50??? That’s the part that would irritate me more than it not being included in the box. I mean, a 32gb flash drive these days costs about $10-15 so why is the Reason dongle $50?????

Re: How come there aren't any tape emulations?
I don't know why there aren't any tape emulations for Reason (besides Audiomatic and Scream) but in all honesty I don't miss them because they're usually too subtle to notice and have more to do with the psychological effects and placebo that comes with looking at pretty graphics than actually doing...

Re: Most important recording techniques you've learnt
Most important techniques I learned: - Use EQ to fix “muddy” sound problems - a good mix is more important than a loud master - don’t overdo sidechain compression - create song starting templates and use those to save huge amounts of time - making music at 2am or later is completely counter producti...

Re: Feedback: Your favorite features of Reason!
Fave feature: The Rack!!! It’s completely unique compared to every other daw. Every daw out there looks the same now because they all copied Ableton’s layout.... which looks super boring like an excel spreadsheet... not at all inviting or inspirational and non musical looking at all... but the Reaso...

I'll make it easy for you..... you have two options... 1) If you really want the new synths and new sounds, then the upgrade price is worth it (regardless of when you last upgraded) because the new devices sound fantastic and are very nice to have. 2) If you don't want the new synths and new sounds ...

Re: Videos For Rack Extensions Mandatory
Developers should be highly encouraged to create videos of their rack extensions. I also don't understand how anyone can spend weeks/months/years developing a rack extension, then just release it with minimal information and a complete lack of any video to promote or demo the rack extension. If I se...

What can Softube Dynamite do that Pulveriser can't?
I downloaded the Softube Valley People Dynamite rack extension (demo) and spent hours testing it on my drum loops and different songs but I just don't get' it. I just want it to fatten up my drums, but in many cases it makes my loops sound worse. When I load in a Pulveriser and compare it to the Dyn...

Please help - Volume automation confusion in sequencer
Could someone please help me out? I want to increase the volume of a track by +5dB via automation. In the rack, the volume is displayed as -35.77dB, but in the sequencer it has a value of "176" - WHHYYYYY???? Here's what confuses me: 1. Re: PH makes subscriptions?
I wish Propellerheads all the best with this subscription model, it will work for some users and not work for some others, but I'm happy that they're exploring new ways to make money for the company. I like owning things, and Reason has everything I need to finish songs so I won't need this subscrip...

Why don't new devices have power cables on the back of the rack?
Did you notice that most new rack devices don't have power cables on the back of them? Old devices like Redrum, MClass, Subtractor, etc have power cables, and the new stuff doesn't. The back of Reason looks inconsistent now, they should either have power cables for everything, or don't have it for a...

Re: Europa Shapeshifting Synthesizer (Thread)
It's so half-arsed and feels unfinished. The three things that would make it great in the context of Reason are missing: - comprehensive CV connections - audio in - loadable wavetables They are force multipliers - they would make a mediocre synth into a powerful synth but they are all missing. What...

Re: Europa Shapeshifting Synthesizer (Tread)
I watched the live stream and Europa sounded amazing. Even just starting with a basic sine wave, within seconds, very interesting and modern sounds can be created. I love how simple and accessible it looks, and how deep, fat and complex it can sound despite the simple interface. I can’t wait to play...
