Re: To Screw or Not to Screw…
Honestly would’ve never noticed if it hadn’t been pointed out. I care more about what the device does than whether it’s realistically “mounted properly” as Selig mentioned, many of the instruments wouldn’t be rack devices in real life anyway.

Re: The new Instrument, "Objekt" is coming in May
So it's a physical modelling synth? Not that exciting for me. But I do wonder why were those people so ecstatic in the first teaser video, because I've never seen anything like that. Seemed fake as shit. We'll see. M Well, if they had recorded the zoom call where they told me about combinator 2, my...

Re: Reason 12.6 Released (Apple Silicon, Offline Mode)
Bummer… how’d they skip the flagship and do the lesser one. I mean I guess I suppose it’s easier to do with less functions I just took a look at the M32 codec since i was pondering to buy it. But tbh the codec looks very lean if you want to say something positive about it. Update, The S49 MK2 does ...

Yes! This happened to me in the past with Retro AS-1 and something else from the same Bitheadz company. They went under and no longer we could activate/use their apps. It;s a bit scary I don’t like the new copyprotection. Because if I’ve a perpetual License. I can use a long term activation only fo...

Re: Reason 12.6 Released (Apple Silicon, Offline Mode)
The old computer authorization through codemeter is gone from what I understand. But unless you literally never connect your computer to the internet (not even for updates) you probably won’t notice. This is monumental. So they've changed the rules of ownership. Your license is now on a perpetual l...

Perpetual licenses are still perpetual Amen, but will the ability to stay offline indefinitely stay so? The old computer authorization through codemeter is gone from what I understand. Re: Acoustic drums: separate tracks for every part - yes or no?
Sure you can sort of simulate a room and overheads but why do all the extra work if it was captured well in the first place? That is indeed the question. If the cymbals are balanced in the overhead mix, why do all the hassle. I recall watching an interview of the engineer who recorded Chop Suey. Cy...

He said all DAWs they have integration with, so it’s likely Reason is included. Yeah, Nektar have a decent track record of supporting Reason so it's a bit premature to get upset. Changing the knob colours to match the effect type looks cool but I wonder how many DAWs that will work with because it ...

Just a reminder, this thread is about Reason showing up on 3rd party product lists/support and being mentioned in various platforms that mention almost every other DAW. Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
Those who play midi into the sequencer are just fine for the most part. It does the jobs as well as any other DAW imo. From what I’ve seen it’s mostly people who want other features, step input, built in step sequencer, Chord track…etc… I suppose those who are inputing by hand. Personally I think i...

I'm currently redoing older tracks I made before with Reaper. This means a lot of editing imported MIDI and audio clips in Reason. So far, this has been a breeze in comparison with Reaper. The MIDI editor is leaps and bounds beyond the Reaper one. So, it eludes me what people think is really missin...
