Re: Heeeelp! Editing in sequencer!
Man..."F" does not really help. I noticed, i already disabled it since a long time, because it made the sequencer even more jumping. Seriously! I like Reason and the rack, but the sequence, sample editing and slicing is a PITA! So many cool unique features and the simple stuff is so hard to work wi...

Re: POLL: Rent-A-Rack .. Have You Subscribed?
I was doing the Rent the own for Serum using the Splice service then the props came out with R10 and Europa. I was not a Serum power user and after using the R10 beta thought Europa is more than enough for those type of sounds for me. I dropped Serum the minute I tested Europa for the first time. A...

Re: Any Sampler REs in the making?
I don't have any issue with the way Reason's built-in sample editor is called up, as in - a full-screen pop-out window that all native Reason samplers and RE's can access. This unified approach is smart, and should remain that way IMHO. The issue I have is that it just needs more functions, more tw...

Re: Transposing clips in a seaquence
I am having trouble in Reason 10 figuring out how to transpose a clip. I don't know how to take a collection and move it and paste it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I had to add this to another post because no comment available settings are being showon to me. If you take a audio clip and ...

Re: Any Sampler REs in the making?
Yeah the dedicated sample editor in Reason is pretty bad (REs that sample same have the same sample editor IIRC). With the exception of looping, it's better to use the sequencer for the actual editing. Edit: But that raises the question, do people really want to edit samples on something that fits ...

Re: Making Music
If I want to write a song, one with lyrics, chorus, verse and all that, the last thing I would do is fire up Reason. It's too easy to get distracted. I'll find myself thinking "I think I'll tweak that sound a little.." a half an hour later, if I still have that song idea in my head maybe I can get s...

Re: Drone notes
Many thanks for all the answers, setting the KBD parameter to 0 is the simplest (where an instrument has it, of course). I'm intrigued by the Matrix solution, but I don't think that would work for "live" playing? Now... I guess if I wanted a drone piano (playing say C3) in NN-XT I'd just have to co...

Re: What's the lowest LFO rate possible in Reason?
AFAIK you can flip only all outputs, but there is always the User/Custom Output. Yeah, that's what I've seen. You know I'm a typical user. I want every possible feature and option for bottom dollar. I don't want to hear about SDK limitations or overhead. The RE should be able to support thousands o...

Re: What's the lowest LFO rate possible in Reason?
KRON can also do .001Hz if you set the fine frequency to the lowest setting (.0039Hz x .25 ~= .001Hz). Sync-wise, It can do 128 bars ... which could be 5 min if the tempo was low enough. :) The ultra-oscillator. I love it but it's like using a .44 Magnum to shoot a sparrow. BTW Kron Starship man, i...

Re: Any Sampler REs in the making?
If NN-XT exists then others can exist. Not sure why developers choose to make so many synths but not a sampler. Maybe E. Panda is on it secretly. (Hope) I would buy a RE sampler without a doubt. I'm not a fan of NN-XT. I prefer a sampler that shows the waveform while editing it. But this is sorry. I...

Re: Selig, I just used my paypal reward money to buy Selig Gain. Woot Woot!!!
One idea to remember here is that if you START with a consistent peak level, such as -12 dBFS, then you can check gain at ANY point and know if it’s too high or too low. Some other concepts: You don’t need to be totally anal here - just keep levels within a few dB of your target peak level. You may...

Or hit the 'w' key on your computer keyboard and then draw the pattern in the sequencer lane.
Then hit 'Q' to go back to the selection mode.

Re: Drone notes
Hook the note output of a Matrix to the note input of the synth you want to drone. Don't hook up the gate. Set the pattern length on the Matrix to 1. Set the Matrix note to C3 or whatever note you want to play. Put your drone synth and other synth in a combinator so that both will be triggered by th...

That is a great history story. The bleep-surfer photo is funny. Did NI have a spy in PH that stole the name Reaktor? Could be a movie plot. Re: My love of Electro Harmonix pedals realized in 10
I never thought EHX pedals we're finicky. That comment is strange. They have been reissuing popular larger pedals in smaller formats, for example the POG, Big Muff, Small Stone and more have been shrunk. Some are still pretty large, Memory Man, Cathedral, etc. But they have too many controls to shri...

But what does it DO? I keep thinking I need it but I do not understand it. It's like a sequencer for anything and everything. It doesn't generate sound. It generates CV. It's a trigger for anything. It's automation. It's a pattern generator. It's like Joi from Bladerunner. Everything you want to CV...

What a tease.
I have more EHX pedals then any other brand. Lots of bang for the buck.
