A RRP noob w Cubase 11 Pro - first impression
Cubase 11 and RRP, so far so good. I have to say I like it better than the Standalone DAW Rack in a way. Just a floating RRP window, no clutter from dozens of folded REs and Mix tracks disturbing the work, it is clean, easy to just place a floating window on one of the screens and IT STAYS open, no ...

Re: PPG Wave 3, $30 bucks (Waldorf)
This was s big meh. Terrible UI if you plan to make your own sounds. No favorite in the preset browser and most presets are named with developer name + a number. Yikes... Largo has plenty of PPG vibe and Waldorf vibe so I'm not buying the PPG 3. I think you need to have a lot of nostalgia if you gon...

Re: Full screen mode please
There are other vertical space optimization they should/could do.
Top of VST windows (and set to pinned by default).
Space between midi tracks (no space for audio tracks, but midi has unnecessary empty space)

Re: mac mini m1 vs intel i5 based computer, help me decide
Sonicstate did a review of the m1 on YouTube. Sounded like a bad choice for music, at least right now. To many unknowns. Some commented that the m1 platform will only be supported for a couple of years. Not sure if that is true or a rumor, but who knows if plugin developers even will make their stuf...

Roland - Play 4 Life
Until Dec 31st. Buy a 1yr sub and keep one or two VSTs for life. Pro is $99 - 1 VST to keep. Ultimate is $199 - 2 VST to keep The VSTs range otherwise from 99 to 129 to 149, so there is some discount + you can use the Cloud, ie everything, for a year. Another way to look at it is buy 1 VST for 99 a...

Re: mac mini m1 vs intel i5 based computer, help me decide
You may want to consider the investment is all software you are running and whether an OS change will force you to pay for SW updates. I left the Mac world when they started to do OS updates that broke compatibility with expensive software that I would have to re-purchase, making not just the Apple ...

Re: PPG Wave 3, $30 bucks (Waldorf)
I'll try the demo. Maybe I like it and 30 bucks ain't much, it is NKS after all, something I am working my way into, so that is a plus. This amount of presets can cost 60 bucks, so there is that. I know I don't neeeeeeeeed it  I'll keep my expectation fairly low though, even though I have sweet...

Also, I think iZotope's Mobius Filter focused on this? Although it was discontinued and I'm not sure why... I was part of a bundle not that long ago (1yr?), but before StutterEdit 2 came out. So I do have it, but never paid attention to it, NOW IT HAS MY ATTENTION  Maybe a bundle will come bac...

PPG Wave 3, $30 bucks (Waldorf)
Here: https://audioplugin.deals/ppg-wave-3-v-by-waldorf/ Or you can buy it in a regular store for $175, or buy the hardware on ebay for 10 grand! Don't think there is anything really magic, but kinda cool nostalgia and some juicy digital sounds with 12/24 "analog" filter. Reviewers say they did a go...

Re: Looking for an Re which makes compression visible
A visual that flickers by (as in Fab filter or a scope) is not very useful imo. If you want to understand what happens at 1ms vs 10ms vs 100ms attack or release your have to look at a very zoomed in static waveform. Best is to bounce out stuff and then look at it in the sample editor window, zoomed ...

I think I have the CDs, but you have to manually register it at RS IIRC. So no need to do a license transfer I believe if you find someone selling an unregistered CD copy.

ok fine, forget all the paid gig stuff, I'll put it out here...if any of you is interested do make it. ive been asking reason studios for pattern memory on dual arpeggiator. so basically a dual arp like device, with longer patterns like redrum 16,32,64, where you can select the length of the patter...

Re: Waves CLA EPIC! Plus buy 2, get 2 free
Alright, I'm grabbing this. Read the manual, watched the video. 4x different delays that you can run in parallel, send out dry and/or send to any or all of the 4 reverbs. There is a throw delay in there as well just to automate for those ending phrases. A non-linear reverb for gating too. Offset L/R...

Surprised to see this at just $29 actually, or effectively $15 if you do the 4 for 2 deal.

Re: Eventide Blackhole $41. Better verb than the rest?
I think the best price was 29, so i wouldnt pay 41 at all and you probably have Animus and a thousand number of reverbs with a freeze function and a bunch of pitchers, shifters, glitchers, ... which can add some additional sparcle on your reverb tail if needed. And if everything fails, just load an...

OpZilla - 4-op FM, for $10 bucks.
I haven't tried it yet, but look interesting for 10 bucks. Has some new variations of the op algorithms, an FX section, large one page UI. I'm not gonna miss menu diving in the old Yamaha FM synths  FM8 and Zero RE are a bit too complex for making basic classic FM sounds imo. You can add a samp...

Looks like Reason puts it to 50% scale. Wonder if Reason for some reason looks at the new waveshell 12 that can scale? Did you run any Waves update our installation after they released v12? I would report it to RS and hope they get a fix for R11 so you don't have to pay for a R12 upgrade to fix your...

Maybe it's mostly for the limited time free offers like this one? I own The Orchestra Complete 2, but through the Best Service store. Kirk Hunter Virtuoso, $30 (Orch Library)
Was $300 when it came out. Now $30. Last time on sale it was 60. Samples are dry. Pretty good reviews even though the UI is a bit dated. Some say it is one of the better ones for pop songs as it can cut through in a mix. Pop sounds good to me  Also, saw some pro's liked it to build up an ...
