Re: Well, Looks Like I Have Covid.
Vit D in milk? Not enough, may provide 50-100IU/d. Majority of people are insufficient and need 5000IU/d for 6-8 weeks to reach a blood value of 50ng/ml. D3 taken orally is converted in the liver and that process adds up to two weeks for the conversion. In an acute situation a Dr can give you an IV ...

Re: Well, Looks Like I Have Covid.
I've spent a LOT of time following the Covid debacle and research papers, and most who get seriously sick are also vitamin D deficient. If your vit D is above 50 ng/ml you have optimum protection from vit D. EU often measure is nmol/L, so need to convert in that case. Age and the other known factors...

Re: New PC Build - ideas and thoughts please....
With the budget, I think you got that list to 100%, or 99%. You can save a little with a less pricey cooler, but not a big issue. Sure a Ryzen 7 is better, but a budget is a budget. I have Ryzen 9 with a B450 MoBo, and 3200MHz RAM. I will upgrade the stock cooler as it spins up and is noisy, I prefe...

Re: Tribute Wavetable Synthesizer by Speo Music now in the shop!
I have "LP | HP 24" filter type selected. Can you distinguish which category of filter type it belongs to ? I can't. I have to open the context menu and browse through submenu levels to find out that this filter type belongs to the "Notch" category. Hmm, not all popup menus behave like this... I th...

Re: Arturia V8 Released
I agree and there has been an explosion this year with 80s emulsion. The Arturia Juno sounds nice, I compared to the Roland cloud version. Both are great. But the synth itself is a very limited synth. Though most sounds don't need that advanced synthesis. And the new Vital could easily fill the pock...

Re: A RRP noob w Cubase 11 Pro - first impression
When browsing a patch in RRP it STAYS on orange/selected even if I make changes to my Cubase tracks or another VST, the focus isn't lost, ha ha ha. Gone are the days of getting crazy when adding new instruments by mistake or forced to clicking on "browse" again just because I adjusted the volume a t...

Close Reason. Check the settings in your audio card preferences and set it too 44k. Then start Reason and check there as well. I'm guessing your card doesn't get set to 44k.

Re: Arturia V8 Released
The Juno 6 emulation sounds good enough, I guess Arturia is finally getting better at the VAs, not as good as the top guys, but good enough to be very usable. Have you seen the Jef Gibbons video where he compares some Arturia patches with the Juno-6 he happens to have in the studio? It’s not an exh...

Re: Arturia V8 Released
Considering I haven't bought anything from Arturia since 2017, it's rather generous of them to give this to customers with older versions! Very nice. 99 presets just for the Ob-Xa, 50 to 70 each for the other new ones. The 8 edit knobs in Labs 5 are still wonky as hell. I guess they still do not di...

Re: Arturia V8 Released
Looks like Analog Lab 4 users get the AL 5. To be used side by side as AL4 has 6500+ presets and AL5 around 2000 presets (I think). And it looks like they are no longer doing the "all presets for new synths" in AL5 as they used to do when AL4 came out, but stopped doing around the time Pigments came...

Re: Reason/Suite/Intro/Lite 11.3.6 released!
They broke VST graphics for some plugins on Mac, in 11.3.5. No plan to fix? Nope. I reported that bug to them and they replied something along the lines of "we expect the plugin developers to fix it on their end..." I was quite taken aback by that answer too... Then I realized that most VSTs worked...

Re: Question re: Native Instruments/Native Access/Kontakt and automation
Many VSTs that host plugins need an intermediate layer for automation. Basically your assign the plugin parameter to a macro and then automate the macro.

Re: The new GUI could be a make-or-break chance for Reason
You can go wrong in any design approach. I like the skeuomorphic designs when done well, like IKs TR5 series or Arturia's compressors. Since the build on 100yrs of UI development, they actually work, and look nice. But I like the modern designs as well, like the Reaktor blocks or Cableguys. The dang...

Have you tried to capture the compressor CV using Panda's Shape LFO. Then hooked up to a vca. Possibly the lowest CPU usage?

R9.5 Complex file Windows 10 Buffer 1024 Rate 44.1kHz Reason 10.4 Ryzen 9, no OC Bar 44: Load average 31%. What can I say, this shit is awesome  CPU Core shows that one core gets more, so the song file is perhaps a bit unbalanced and slower computers may perhaps underperform due to one core hit...

Re: whats a good lifestyle diet change ?
Eat stuff that fills you up and is digested slowly, like oven baked root/veggies, avocado, nuts, banana. Avoid simple carbs (minimize) like fluids w sugar and baked goods using flour. Avoid deep fried stuff. Try to exercise early in the day as it will give you a higher metabolic rate during the day....

Re: A RRP noob w Cubase 11 Pro - first impression
It works similar in Cubase, but the RRP CV will no longer work at rates above 1/8th note (120bpm), so would have to send slower CVs from RRP. (I think, I'm still a Cubase noob, but the modulation started to get jerky and random at 1/16ths) Not sure if I would need to do that though. And while doing ...

Re: A RRP noob w Cubase 11 Pro - first impression
Interesting thought about a Rack per track... Does the RRP have CV in/out or just multiple audio in/outs which could be used as audio rate CV? You have a main stereo in and a stereo side chain in. So in theory 4 audio in. You can probably figure out how to use midi CC as a CV, but you only get 128 ...
