Re: (80's pop) song called second chances critique please

I hear a nice vibe. I like the breakdown parts at 0:55, 1:30 and 2:26.
I agree with robussc about the "story" part. I'd like to hear a variant of this where there's more progression and small things catching my attention.

Congratulations to the album.
Strong songs built on strong emotions, excellent result; Dark, but also a morale boosting battlefield cry.

Re: Post a pic of your studio!

Nice & clean. I find it inspiring working in casual micro-studios on the go, like in a ferry cabin with my Macbook & Korg nanokey, or on a bus. Changing setting every now & then is inspiring to me. In my home studio I do have the advantage of this highly mobile self-adjusting attention-seeking acou...

IMG_20230102_132219 (1).jpg Not so much a studio than a corner of our front room. That said i am happy to have a space to create music and i am sure there are others in a similar situation. The notepad is used to note down ms times for 1/8 notes etc and is a new addition that came in a christmas Cr...

Re: To Screw or Not to Screw…

They said: 'Reason is the rack'. And one mounts the stuff on the rack by fixing it in some way, and the most obvious way is screws. I really like Objekt's design and obviously a skeuomorphic structure like his doesn't make sense for it to have screws, however other instruments and effects that have...

Re: Issues on loading Reason 12.2.5 with freeze splash screen for 20 minutes and more ... [Mac Osx]

I'm going on my yearly creative cruise tomorrow, will be composing on a ferry Thursday&Friday with my Macbook. My Windows R12 works fine, but I'm on Reason 10 on my High Sierra Macbook, wondering if I dare update to R12 or should stay on R10. I guess, updating in the last minute, what could go wrong...

Sounds like a Koan, and I'll take the easy way out and pass that on to chatGPT for some off-the-clock work: "This contemplation artifact raises interesting questions about the nature of reality, perception, and the concept of absolute truth. Let's break it down: The statement "reality lives in a sp...

Re: The UFO Thread

I'm equally amused by Chris Lehto's UAP channel & Mick West UAP debunking channel. I looked into one of the recent Chris Lehto videos, by an Australian who shared his video of an event. It sound's like a drone to me - I hear beat interference, indicating two or more sound sources with similar very c...

Re: Anyone using ChatGPT to code/debug?

I use it literally every day at work, for on-demand micro-training, problem solving, and a kick start on whatever task I'm on. Started as a Dev, then they invented DevOps, and some clever guy figured that's not enough and came up with DevSecOps. Don't mention "FullStack". All while new frameworks ar...

Re: AI - Cheating or just evolution?

Indeed. We created AI, which would have been a lesser achievement if it wouldn't be able to outthink us. Amazing. God < Creation. Also, we tend to think about human and AI as separate entities. I think we're already a hive mind and more to expect in the near future. Creation created itself. Or... C...

Re: AI - Cheating or just evolution?

Actually, it's easier for AI to question everything by default. Might be worth watching the ai-Descartes video to see how their AI system could infer space time dilation through questioning its assumptions. We tend to overestimate how sophisticated our thoughts are. I will watch it. We also tend to...
