Yep agree with that 100% imo. I see copying people as a crime but having said that you can get inspiration off someone without copying them. There is a difference!

Not having notes to track is very restrictive, even with a cool device like this it would be much better to edit it in the sequencer after the sequence is set up. +1 devices like this should work in a way like the Dr.Rex make a sequence, setup a loop where you want in it your song, then press note ...

People often forget how important sample length is in drum mix both from a dynamics point of view and also musical. Get rid of that kicks tail etc and it can contribute a lot
