carriers?modulators? is this like fm synthesis operators but granular?I gotta research this also since I plan on turning reason into a bigass toolbox for studio one. Yes! Are vocoders resynthesizers? Do those tell synths to replicate audio waveforms? A vocoder takes 2 signals, a carrier (usually something harmonically rich like a synth), and a modulator (usually something dynamic like drums or a voice) and filters the signals into a fixed number of bands. Great tutorial. Very clear explanation and quick pace.

I love the drum vocoder trick. Another one I think works really well to use a guitar strum loop to provide the mold and use a synth to provide the chords thru the BV512. Instant accompaniment! :thumbs_up:
