Re: Reason 12 has arrived
This time I'm choosing to explore Reason 12 on my own before reading any posts, or seeing any youtube stuff, or anything else. I didn't download the beta, either. I therefore have no idea about how other dear friends on here are reacting to R12 - I'll catch up later on. But I did just want to come h...

Re: Reason 12 is coming!
While I have 'lost my faith' towards Reason ever updating the small 'quality of life' aspects of the core software, I would love to see a few things in the combinator: 1. The ability to type values into the programmer matrix 2. An additional menu item of 'Set Backdrop to Track Color' 3. Rotary & Bu...

Re: Reason a plugin?
It's a good thing they waited until now to make RRP. If they'd done this before Record we might never have gotten the SSL mixer and audio editing features. That's a decent point. I remember the guy who used to do the marketing videos saying that the time stretch on the newly introduced vocal proces...

Re: Reason a plugin?
But, yes, the writing is on the wall for the DAW. RS keep stressing that Reason is the Rack and pushing the subscription model. I don't think they will drop the standalone but it will be relegated to the background. They have announced some of the things coming in R12 on 1st September. Two new devi...

Reason a plugin?
This is the RS home page right now. I know, I know: it's marketing, new users are good. Etc. But Reason as a plugin? Really? If I have to move on and find a second DAW to put Reason into, I will do, reluctantly. I love Reason though, and I always have done. But do tell me. I'd rather not keep hoping...

Re: ApeX KompoZre
Given the news - which I confess I'm only just catching up on, that it appears there was some sample piracy involved in Softphonics releases, I am curious as to where the samples on this one may have originally derived. Many of the patches sound great, but if I inadvertently have them sitting in one...

Re: New Reason+ subscriber? We'd love to hear from you!
I'm very pleased to see how this thread is shaping up. Although the stated intention was to hear from new R+ subscribers, under the surface I suppose I also wanted to see a positive thread to counterbalance the chaotic one, as some have said. That thread is super important (perhaps more important th...

Re: Send Channel in SSL mixer
I have a related issue to this. Selig and I have discussed it before. I'd like to be able to route the outputs from the send FX to somewhere else, such as having a send for drum reverb, and then having the ability to include that in the Drum bus. It can kind of be done but it feels like you are brea...

Re: Reason updates (11.3.7 / 11.3.8) and Reason+
One question I'd like to raise is how many brand new users that we will see this year and in the future, are members here or tuned into the live stream? I'd say very little, almost none, and the overwhelming majority are existing users. That said, until a few days ago, how many of the already exist...

New Reason+ subscriber? We'd love to hear from you!
Hi, Many - if not most - members of this forum have been using Reason for a long time. We have paid for Reason outright, upgrading over the years as new versions were released. This means that the new Reason+ subscription isn't for us, and you'll see that its introduction has promoted a good deal of...

Re: Reason updates (11.3.7 / 11.3.8) and Reason+
I have been following this thread with a lot of interest. Here are my collected thoughts: 1. I am disappointed. I care most of all about Reason as a DAW. Reason as a DAW needs some love from RS. They say that good stuff is coming and they never stop working on it. I hope this is true. 2. The launch ...

I've never quite thought of Reason [or Reason Studio, as it may well come!] as an add on.

Re: Ignition Key bites the dust on Mac - with no plans to fix
Mattias, Yes: silent log-in would go some way to addressing the issue. Allowing two software authorisations would be the better solution, both because it would help Dioxide's use case, and because it would merely restore the situation to the status that it was when you designed the authorisation sys...

Re: Ignition Key bites the dust on Mac - with no plans to fix
Mattias, I am so disappointed by this response. Since my second computer is for on the road - where internet is not always available - this means that I need authorise that computer, not my main one. As a consequence, every time I open Reason on my main studio computer, I need to authorise. I do hop...

Re: Ignition Key bites the dust on Mac - with no plans to fix
I can quite believe that they haven't had time to even consider this fully because they've been busy with the companion. You may mean that the only way I can avoid having to log into Reason every time I open it is to subscribe to Reason +. Great. As a consequence, whilst they may feel they have exci...

Ignition Key bites the dust on Mac - with no plans to fix
On Big Sur, Ignition Key is no longer recognised and I have to log on using the internet every time I use reason. I have two computers, so only one can be authorised via software. On the other one, I'm stuck with online authorisation. I contacted Reason Studios for support and they told me that they...

Re: OS Big Sur
Almost everything seems fine on Big Sur - I'm surprised more stuff didn't break, actually.
The only issue I can see so far is that the Codemeter dongle appears not to be working, so you have to use internet authorisation every time you start Reason. Is anyone not finding this?

[Progressive] BT & Matt Fax ft. Nation of One (Toby Pearce remix)
Yes, it's a plug for my first 'proper' release, but I so wanted everyone here to know that it was done, as usual, 100% in Reason. I don't think the idea that Reason isn't a proper DAW still gets much attention, but in case anyone does still feel that way, you don't need to. Promise. Even the swellin...

Re: new Reason Studios Player: Pattern Mutator
Like others I'd like to be able to mutate midi that's already in the sequencer. I understand that it is not straightforward to get midi from the sequencer in the player. But on page one of this thread it looked like someone had made this work using some kind of CV RE. Was I reading this right, and i...

Best sampler for slicing long wav file and assigning to notes
Hiya, Almost a signature move for me is vocal chops, where I chop up an accappella into small parts and play them percussively. My most reliable way to do this is to chop them up in advance via external wav editor, then load them into on of Reason's drum samplers. It works well, but I'd also like to...
