I'm curious if you could provide more specs on the computer.
Processor and amount of RAM at least.
If you were running R5 on it you've probably had it for a number of years.
Might need a new PC.
Xmas gift!

Give yourself a Xmas present.
A new computer.
Have your credit card ready.
Operators are standing by.
BTW steer clear of AMD processors next time.

Re: How do Archive your Patches and call them up quickly?
I created a "Patches" folder under the Reason folder in Documents. Then I created a favorite in reason for it. But that filled up and became cluttered. So I created a number of different sub-folders like "bass, synth, drums, vocal proc, ..." You can move patches without breaking existing songs. But ...

Indeed - that and the fact that whatever they say gets twisted and used against them by someone eventually. Take the comment “We won’t add audio to Reason until we can do it right” which gets turned into “You said you would never add audio, and now you added it - so we can’t trust anything you say…...

I like to expose myself to external stimuli and draw from those experiences.
Meet and interact with new people.
Do something new.
Go somewhere different.
Read a book.
Leave the dope alone.

Re: How to edit several tracks simultaneously in Reason 9?
I used to record tracks using a two mic mid-side setup but since the audio editing is such a failure I just fake it with parallel channels in the mixer. When I have attempted editing multiple tracks I would use the sequencer cursor as a reference point. But constantly switching between the razor and...

Sunvox
I downloaded SunVox the other day for my Android phone the other day.
Runs, but I can't figure out how to add notes to the pattern lane.
Not using an external bluetooth keyboard, maybe that's the problem.
Anybody know WTF?

They troll around here and there. Don't expect any mindblowing revelations from them.
I would guess there are a million legal reasons why they steer clear.

Does your random midi file have multiple instruments and tracks in it?
I'm guessing it does.

Re: Redrum Pattern Lane with Redrum in Combinator
I'm creating a combinator that has a Redrum inside of it and saving it as a patch. It would be nice to be able to simply select the patch and use it as any Redrum Instrument (as it is driven essentially by Redrum, although it has a ton of other moving parts). It looks like I will probably just have...

Re: How do you guys feel about Reason getting rewritten on 11?
Honestly I don't want a major rewrite since that is likely going to come with more overhead and computer resource demands.
It would be nice to make the rack look cleaner and 3D but that comes at a cost.
People that suggest a rewrite for something have never coded anything more than "Hello World".

Re: (rock) What about the mix here?
I originally wanted to say the low end was lacking but it fits the raw, bluesy style of the song. I still wouldn't mind either the kick or the bass dominating the low end a bit more, just for that added oomph. The only thing that bugged me a little bit was the amp buzz. That's the enemy in my own m...

Re: Cable sag
The one that kills me every time is grabbing a cable, scrolling ... scrolling ... scrolling ... nearly there ... scrolling ... get to the combinator and realise I didn't open the programmer, so the CV ins aren't there. Try and drag onto the 'Open Programmer' button hoping this time it will work ......

Cables
Provide ability to adjust transparency of cables.
Make cable hide setting persist between sessions.
Provide adjustment for cable sag or just tighen up the cables on the back of the rack.
They won't break.

Part of the reason I can sustain my music production and my marriage is to take my wife to outlet malls when she asks.

If you sync your REs on any computer, it will be there. If you delete it and sync on your current computer it will be there. REs do not have to be in the shop to be in your account, where it will remain. You can't delete REs from your account. Thanks, Thought I was going to have to keep my computer...

Cable sag
Sometimes the cables in back of the rack sag into the next device and it's annoying. I always hit "k" key to make the cables transparent. Wish there was a way to make the cakes sag less. Wish the transparency of the hidden cables could be adjusted. Wish the "hide cable" setting would persist instead...

Re: MaschineR, PusheR? Any users here? Looking for opinions.
I bought maschineR and used it on MK1 and MK2 controllers. I didn't care for it and I don't use it.
I hardly use Maschine anymore either. Wish I would have waited and just bought a novation mini and that RE that works with it, 64g or whatever.

If I bought a new computer, then authorized and and installed my copy of Reason there would the RE2A get downloaded and installed?

Re: (rock) What about the mix here?
The guitar sound lacks a bottom, I'm guessing it's a software-amp? I think when you're able to get a bigger guitar sound the other instruments will need something tweaking as well. Cymbals are squashed but great singing! I micd my amp, but I cut some of the bottom to make room for the bass and kick...
