Re: Quick question regarding Reason Essentials
Well thats that then. If i can't even get Kong on Essentials then I probably won't buy it... Thanks for your help guys. Keep in mind they do sometimes have the upgrade from Essentials to full version on offer, I saved €130 iIrc in may. Maybe you won't have Kong from the start but at least you can a...

Thank you very much for your reply!
I was mostly thinking of using them "momentarily", as in moving them around a lot. I believe it would be the most precise way to control rotary controls in "live" situations.

A good remedy for that is taking part in The One Synth EP ChallengeFaastwalker wrote: ↑29 Aug 2017In the past I've jumped at such offers & then rarely, if ever, returned to the particular RE.

rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?

Thanks

Re: Quick question regarding Reason Essentials
You know, I may have read your post wrongly. I thought that you can't move any of your demos to Essentials (or full) because they don't save...... I pretty sure you will have to re-build them. And Essentials probably doesn't have all you _might_ have had in DEMO if DEMO is just a non-saving FULL ve...

Here is a list of differences: https://www.propellerheads.se/support/user/reason/thinking-about-buying-reason/what-are-the-differences-between-reason-9-and-reason-essentials-9/ Also, Reason Essentials only recognize the file-format .ree, where as files made in Reason 9 (which should be the type you'...

Even though the lyrics were written Whitehouse (as I understand it) back then, he could still have meant a "hidden snide" at the White House back then too, no? Hmm, could be... though it'd make a lot more sense if the White House occupant at the time Waters composed the song were called...

Re: Reason SSL Mixer Hardware Controller
Very interesting project! I'd absolutely love something like Selig's Mission Control (The middle one!) with an emphasis on adding an easy-to-use selection overview of all tracks available (maybe something small touchscreen that can display colours and names of tracks). I guess the same approach coul...

Regarding the Extratune thing, it gets on my nerves having played around for 10 mins. I'll just continu my ususl projects... You've made the right decision to abandon it. Since my first post today I've descended into a dark, dark world of sound that I fear there is no escape from. If I ...

Re: What are the weirdest music style you heard (of)?
Ok so here's my quick 10 minute first attempt at something. Using only two Kong hits, a clap an a BD2 from the default patch. For something a bit more interesting, it starts at 120BPM and the tempo ramps up to 999 BPM, and stays at that tempo for the rest of the track. Only FX are a delay unit and ...

Re: What are the weirdest music style you heard (of)?
I was thinking of loading template, change the bpm to 1001 and then see what happens... Oh man, I'm fooling around now with this Extratone concept, and it's both fascinating and frightening what can be done with two simple Kong hits and some LPF/HPF passes. I've set the tempo to 999BPM and each hit...

Re: What are the weirdest music style you heard (of)?
I've been a celebrated exponent of 'Chap-Hop' for many years and never even knew it. That said, some of the examples in that video are just out there. 'Danger Music' is so dumb. But the aformentioned Extratone is interesting. Maybe we should have a 999 BPM Reason song challenge  I was thinking...

Crikey Carruthers! I've been a celebrated exponent of 'Chap-Hop' for many years and never even knew it. Mind you you only have to record a fart these days and it would fall into some obscure 'genre'. GasCore perhaps. I did have a bad experience with that though whilst trying to record a massive dro...
