Re: cubase 11 ableton 11 , reason 12?
If you record lots of vocals, look at what Cubase can do. Variaudio tuning and vocal align, both built in. It will cost hundreds of dollars if you choose a DAW that needs the additional extra software to do this well. Look at the cost to crossgrade if you already have a full version of Reason. The p...

Could be the haggis Wait, that's Swedish right? I think Irish, or Welsh. EDIT: turn's out it's Scottish :D Historians have quite well established that Haggis came to Scotland with the Vikings, so yeah it has Scandinavian or Swedish origin. You can still buy that stuff in Swedish grocery stores, jus...

The squelch also has to do with the envelopes, so they would have to redesign that as well. I'm not sure, but do RS even have one synth with great filters?

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I still stands by that I think Vital is worth more than 0.01fieldframe wrote: ↑19 Nov 2020Just to be clear, the $0.01 tweets are in relation to Helm (which is pay-what-you-want), not Vital (which will launch with plus/pro/sub tiers).

Skipping this one, if it's only RRP stuff... It's a clever thing they did adding the RRP in 11. Now as long as they add something good in the RRP and also in the main program, the chances are, both camps will wanna upgrade. Or neither if the perceived value for each camp is below the threshold to g...

Re: Vital is out, basic version is free
I saw on his Twitter that he got $0.01 orders, but then PayPal takes 0.01. Perhaps he is rethinking the sales strategy. I put in $20, I suggest a little bit more than 0.01 if you plan to use it, it seems quite good. I understand that Serum at 150-170 is not a fair comparison either, especially if yo...

I heard something about a code error. Could have been that everything was reduced to $0 using the code, so they may have pulled the plug on the server to stop the shopping!
I wonder how the dude who made up the code feels today 🤪

There were several free courses this spring and I checked out three of them. ProducerTech - super boring, very basic, and everything is repeated 3 times making if more confusing. I really had to force myself to sit through a couple. Seems many are s but old now as well as DAW get more info but the v...

Bass Master by LoopCloud, 3 bucks!
You have to sign up for a LoopCloud sub and pay 3 bucks. Then you get BM for free. They gave everyone BM who already were on a sub a few days ago. I never bothered to look at before, but this thing is REALLY good  . They have spent some serious time to give you good bass tones, sampled from h...

Re: Layers...”just” a rompler? Isn’t it?
I have noticed that loop points can be heard as a slight pulsating or pop sound, even in so called high end libraries. It is sloppy work and not enough time is spent on finding good loop points and right amount of cross fade. This can get quite time consuming if the sound changes a lot over time. Sa...

Re: upgrading too soon ?
They could have started with hi res right after the buffer size thing was completed. Perhaps even before as they seem to have done a lot of experimentation a while back with VSTs, with browser plugins, RE in HW, etc, who knows if they also played with high res back then.

How is hi res handled for all the 3rd party REs?
Is it up to developers to redo graphics or what will happen? Pretty big issue isn't it?

I've seen this with other companies too. They probably want to be able to send you some offers before you grab the plugin and unsubscribe. That is understandable.

Very very nice EQ for advanced sculping, free.
You need to download the whole IK Multimedia TR5 suite, but not a big issue imo. Until the 20th.

Re: Melodyne 5 is out!
Wow thanks for testing. Looks like if I upgrade to Melodyne 5 I'd have no choice but to use it as a standalone. Can you see if Reason is at least able to transfer midi into Melodyne 4 Editor through Kushview? With M4 you don't need Kushview, just put it as an insert, M4 does transfers in R10.4, no ...

Re: Melodyne 5 is out!
I did a quick test: Reason 10.4 Melodyne 4 Editor (VST2) Kushview with Audio and Midi in connected to Melodyne. It did NOT transfer audio into Melodyne. So, my guess is there is substantial risk that Melodyne 5 is completely useless in Reason, even with a VST host. I'm no Kushview expert, but I coul...

Re: Which wallpaper did you choose from the goodie bag? Pics of Studio!
Just a few friendly suggestions: Take a look at bass traps and diffusers, they can do wonders to room acoustics. IK Multimedia ARC is another super great thing as it will make your speaker response flat after a frequency sweep.

Looks nice! Will they be scalable like IK TR5s? Yesterday I made an NN-19 multi-sample patch, when finished I had neck pain and had to wipe off nose marks from the monitor  . With a BIG NN-19 I can instead lean backwards and still see well. Very happy this is not the Waves, "only scale up a l...

Re: Melodyne 5 is out!
So if I upgrade to Melodyne 5 I won't be able to use it as a VST in Reason 10? It might work inside a wrapper like Kushview, but I haven't tried it so no guarantee. But I would be surprised if it didn't as you are not using ARA2 features anyhow, just plain "dumb" recording into Melodyne, this becau...

Re: What's going on in the USA and stuff - Part II The Revenge
So, looks like there is in fact room for a third party in the USA, like most European countries having more than two. Two is clearly not enough to get a well functioning democracy, as they are booth hi-jacked by corporate interest IMO. But will be interesting if Dems can move the needle now on issue...

10.4 here. Works like a charm... It is a bit "light" on the presets, but then the price is light too. The synth, so far, is very good, has that Serum clean sound and punch.
