Re: Noise Engineering: SB 1 or SB 2?

Got a question...have I totally misunderstood these REs? Up until now I've thought they were modular...like in Eurorack. I just downloaded a couple of them now after reading this thread and I'm starting to wonder if they are actually all synths in their own right. Are they? Yea Louque put together ...

Re: Noise Engineering: SB 1 or SB 2?

You have to get both i think unfortunatley to make use of the full range of sounds, Practically all of em are fm/addiitive modules. I think they sound beautifull  For the typical sequenced modular melodies my favourite starting point is usually the Sinc Iter Vereor..probably the easiest o...

Re: Stringwerk vs Friktion

Yea agree with above. https://youtu.be/H8Wu0Jr75VI This is more akin to what Friction does or attempts to do . SWAM looks decent and is as far as i can tell similar to Friction..although Swam has a seperate solo intrument for each of the 4 string famiies (and will cost you more) i think friction att...

Re: Player patches

Mad Scientist stuff. Excellent info ....Reason studios are really missing a trick if they dont put some of these routing ideas on a friday livestream sometime. I've tried more modest versions of this kind of thing in the past (psq and kron heavy!)... but not nearly as advanced. I eventually came to ...

Re: Parsec 2.0 - Does Anyone Use This ?

It can be great for pad-type sounds on occasion (using the ensemble modifiers).. i pile two into a combi because parsec can sound a bit thin. it's a bit like malstrom though in that you often have to spend quite a bit of time eqing out all the 'bad' frequencies.

Re: Stumped with a reverb issue

I think you mean you need to attach a compressor after the hats reverb send (or the drum bus reverb send) and then send an extra pair of audio outs from the snare channel (use the parrallel sudio outs if you wish) into that compressor's sidechain input and then paly around with the compressor's thre...

Guess the vst: ffv.jpg Dont mean to derail the thread but (on a side note) have you ever noticed that some patches in volcano 2 dn't really make sense and cant be re-created? As an example... take the one below . The first envelope follower is modulating its own attack no less that 4 times! The pro...

If you can log into the reason studios home web page and click on 'My Account' It should tell you your username ..it will say 'logged in as...(username)........'. Re: Hardly used my new MIDI Controller...nobody likes change?

I think another reason is that because it's new I got a bit over careful and decided to protect it from dust when I'm not using it. Bit of cloth over it. That adds another step further away from using it. It's like when I got my Guild I didn't want to gig with it until I just decided fgck it who ca...

Re: Opinions on Komplete 13 ?

Thanks guys. I took the plunge today and pre- ordered K13 ..the hardrive version (thanks for the advice on that Wongo). I did have to borrow a few quid to to it but for me it's worth the risk and i see it as a solid future investment. Pro rig, Noire and Una corde alone are worth the extra £100 over ...

Re: Opinions on Komplete 13 ?

Every time a new version of Komplete comes out, or upgrade/crossgrades go on sale for 50% off (usually in the summer - sometimes BF: but not this BF as it's too close to launch), I pore over the Compare version chart at NI for a few days, and in the end decide that Komplete is just Komplete OverKil...

I can't answer for points 1 and 2, having a desktop computer with plenty of internal storage. I have K12 Ultimate, so that's over 150 products, a little under 500 GB. The VSTs (.dll and .vst3) are on the system SSD, and the rest is on another internal HD. 3) Indeed, Native Access (the equivalent of...

Are you making music for children books, dubstep, orchestral compositions? Anyone chiming in cannot really give you a good answer unless you explain what you try to do. Re: Brand new Reason Studios Instrument : Friktion Strings

Sounds good. Would sound good in combination with stringwerk. I don't have Kontakt but Kontakt would be my preference in combination with spitfire libraries for realistic strings, but that would also cost the price of a second hand car and a high spec computer unfortunately. I can't trial this witho...

Re: What Time Signature Is This?

I'm without a computer and this phone don't do audio or video unfortunately so I can't listen.. but if all else fails try chasing your time signature to 8/4 and maybe halving the bpm to adjust. This would typically adjust a 4 to the floor beat for eg into an 8 to the floor one but keep your bar line...
