Re: Kratos 2 vs. Ozone Maximizer?
I have both. I prefer Ozone to Kratos. I find Ozone to be easier to use, and I prefer the sound. I don't seem to get as loud with it, but I hear it differently than the Kratos. Kratos is warm, Ozone is a bit more clinical. My 2 cents, everybody's got different ears and opinions.

Re: Getting old?
With 40 just around the bend, people calling me "sir" because of my gray beard hair, and modern day media coming to the point of making no sense at all... I'm not old enough yet to be complaining about this. Meaning, I'm not old. But I am. When did this happen? My musical tastes are actually going b...

Europa, Grain, Parsec reverbs, same as RV-7 or RV-7000?
Same goes for the UMPF and Synchronous. The reverb on these units sound different than stock devices to me. I also wish the reverb and other effects from the UMPF was available separate, with all its modes. Maybe one day.

Re: Reason 10.2 with workflow improvements.
Hey, I just wanna say how much I love Reason, and I'm happy for all the changes / additions / etc. I'm getting what I've asked for - Max/MSP type composition and amazing synthesis options. The software I've known and loved since 2001 is still working for me to this day, with TONS of options for gett...

Re: RX950 Classic AD/DA Converter Free Update
I'd fathom to say that it's up to your ears now, being subject to too many variables (actually owning the original sampler, recordings, headphones, monitors). 🙂 It was switched on its second revision to sound the most "accurate" but many of us had fallen in love with the first model. I believe all t...

Free upgrade issue - getting the screen saying that the license isn't registered, even though I've owned it since it came out.

RX950 Classic AD/DA Converter Free Update
Thanks to Mathieu Demange for providing us the ability to switch back to the less crisp sound of the original - free update! Knob twist back to the even more lo-fi sound of the original, just in case you loved it (like me!).

Re: UMPF Club Drums RE
Only a few requests that I can see as making this just over the top because this is WAY more than just a drum sample playback RE: 1) The ability to use the CV inputs or built-in LFOs to trigger sample start times, it's just not an option currently 2) Have the Chop, Delay, Reverb, and Compressor be a...

Re: UMPF Club Drums RE
So, I just purchased the UMPF RE. This is another surprise that I didn't think would do what I had hoped it would do, but it actually does it quite well! I was looking for an RE that would give me the ability to loop my random bits of audio, give them glitch (chop) effects, and allow for me to get a...

Re: I wish we had an OPL2 or OPL3 synth
Ok... Since you did not said which RE you tried, i just make a guess for some interesting FM... EXpanse has the biggest freedom for fm imo. Zero is interesting too, especially if you downsample it on the back. Send something through Ammo and you get new results. Use a fm capable filter like PMS. An...

He also said, there is NO RE :-) Yeah, there is no RE. That's why I asked for one. I think I get your sense of humor, as it's the same type of response on every one of my posts 🙂 Go make some more excellent music and quit pestering me with your goofy answers 😆, unless you've got a real solution, wh...

Re: I wish we had an OPL2 or OPL3 synth
I dont want to hijack your thread. Can i ask your opinion on the FM4... (if you like it or not) I bought the FM4 Frequency Modulation Synthesizer in the shop on sale a while back cause i really wanted to get into fm . The presets sound amazing (to my ears) but im having alot of trouble breaking dow...

I wish we had an OPL2 or OPL3 synth
Yes, I'm aware of every FM synth we've got in the store, and every synth that CAN do FM in the rack, and I've probably purchased them. The closest to all of them is the RYM2612, as it has a "sound" to it. It sounds like a Sega. I'm also aware of the soundfonts that play back samples of the OPL2 / OP...

Re: Taiko drums extension
You can get some truly amazing acoustic drum sounds with Kong's physical modeling - toms and bass drums in this case. Stack'em. Pair that with some crafty Kong synthesized bass drums for super low end and some compression. Could get pretty close, otherwise, buy some samples, I guess.

Yep, gonna have to say, very much in the kHs corner when it comes to ring-modulation. Just so much to work with. It's not a basic ring-mod. Very useful for all sorts of noise and harmonics.

Bought it, love it. I learned that I could do something new with it, then applied it to the KRON. Now I know I can do more of this with the PSDN, and woooowee! Fun

Maybe a control lane for the knob - right click the knob you've assigned and automate that. A pattern lane will show up and you can draw lines down there to create pattern changes.

Re: KRON and SPEM
Thanks for brining SPEM to my attention, it sort of flew under my radar. If it can change channels without noticeable audio pop and glitches (the unwanted kind) this might be really useful! I already have KRON, love it but need to spend way more time with it. Hard to say, I haven't used it in that ...
