Re: Transcendent 2000 RE

I ummed and ah'd for ages about the name. Seriously, it went thought multiple variants over years. (You know, I first did the mockup for this back in 2013.) I'd have a simple, affectionate, but ultimately a tad too uninformative "T2K", weird numbering like TRANSCENDENT X000, but then that'd just co...

Also, it's a cracking name. TRANSCENDENT 2000. Proper futuristic at the time. I ummed and ah'd for ages about the name. Seriously, it went thought multiple variants over years. Re: CEO's 2021 review

If you follow Agevik's comments on twitter and such you'll see that he is light-hearted jokey guy that doesn't appear to take himself too seriously. I really don't think that comment was intended as an underhanded dig at perpetual users. To me it reads like a bit of friendly banter poking fun at th...

Re: Future of the SDK

That is very interesting! I’m assuming there’s no specific error message? Did you omit the Placeholder widget on the back panel by any chance? It’s no longer required according to the specs and Reason 12, but Reason 10 (and probably Reason 11) will still fail to load an RE without it… Ah! And I was...

hello, i am using R10.4 and windows 7 in the thread about lectric panda's upcoming RE buddard states that 'As of August this is no longer the case: The build servers will only accept SDK 4.2.0 now, even for updates of old devices. This is related to the high res update' the 'even for updates of old...

I'm willing to wager you were wrong, and I look forward to dining on the blood of the fallen . In all seriousness, here's my...

Re: Reason 12 Graphic's Issues.

Are you not getting gaps between the wood panels and devices then? It's almost like the device hangs off the mixer channels rather than the rack... That is the intended look. It is because the Master Sections and Mix/Audio channels have been made wider to house Combinators. During testing, I had su...

Re: Reason 12 Graphic's Issues.

Did you notice how the SSL is more blurry at 100% zoom in 12 compared to 11? here's one of the master fader showing 11 is way more blurry than 12: [R12 taken at 100%, and BOTH screen shots were enlarged by 400% for this image. Same number of screen pixels in both cases. Fun Fact: you can even see "...

And at that point, the marketing should read "Reason HD: It's like staring at a Vaseline-smeared monitor through cataracts." I'll be the first to say that the way hi-res assets are being handled in Reason 12 (currently) could absolutely be improved. Some hi-res areas missing on the transport are ju...

There’s no functional [value] of the splash screen for the user. Sadly it's depressing people are getting hung up on the bloody startup splash screen as that's the least of its troubles. Re: Hi-Res - slightly disappointed

In any case, still feel like the Hi-Res function is a bit on the clunky side. And would have loved to have it for each element of Reason as opposed to the whole thing. Again, maybe my monitor?! These are two different features, rack/device zooming and application zoom. Application zooming was done ...

But neither he nor I get a cent of Quartet, which RS also produced in Gorilla Editor, for pretty much no significant development cost just to quickly bump up the Reason 11 feature list and quite intentionally to piss me off because they specifically used the term "BBD", even though it's not a BBD. ...

I didn't buy. It wasn't out of malice. I just found what I needed inside Reason. The thing you're missing is that Reason Studios control the RE market. If they think an RE developer is entering or threatening their revenue then they reserve the right to kick them out. Oh wait, I worded that wrong :...

Re: Reason updates (11.3.7 / 11.3.8) and Reason+

In order for a subscription service to work, the service being offered needs to not only maintain its value, but improve. Subscriptions literally force the service to continually evolve and improve to stay relevant, else the subs (and revenue) disappear. In a nutshell: active subs give RS new money...

Re: Reason updates (11.3.7 / 11.3.8) and Reason+

Reason+ IS literally more up to date by giving you every new RE as it is released. No, Giles, it isn't. They're letting them rent every new RE they release. That's a big difference, and please stop trying to normalise their behaviour as somehow being for new users' benefit and they're doing them so...

Re: It's up now on the website: and, yep, a subscription plan

it's definitely not $20 for some sounds. It's $20 for an always up to date Reason, all Reason Studios devices we've released and will release, and several sound packs per week. It's not for existing users, I think that's clear enough. An existing user can pay €120 for an always up-to-date Reason ev...

not sure what version of Reason you're on, but if you want something clean, a great bet would be to go with Humana--there are several female vocal options to choose from. Did they ever fix Humana? Because as far as I know despite both alpha and beta testers pleaded with PH at the time to add legato...
