Re: Hardware vs Software
Yes but I want to burst out onto the scene!!! Make an impact, shake things up. I think I need some serious hardware to do this. I tried Reason but all my tracks flopped, no DJ would play them because they sounded so lame. What synth should I start with? Maybe a Mini Moog right? Or should I get and ...

Re: Hardware vs Software
Yeah you can but it's how good you want it to sound and if you wanna get as close to the original genre's quality and texture in it's production as possible.Marco Raaphorst wrote: ↑14 Nov 2018Then you can’t make acid using Reason... what a lame genre Acid then is. Only for purists I guess...

Re: Hardware vs Software
Hardware has the edge in texture and dunno, just something about it, a smoothness and warmth imo. There's something missing with software, like the 303 just has a smudginess to it although never used hardware extensively enough to know, just what I hear when I compare old tracks on You Tube and stuf...

Re: Anyone Experience of an Akai S900-950?
I used to have one, although I didn't use the timestretching function very much. Basically you cut the phrases up and rebuild them in the sequencer (maybe an Atari ST). If the vocal needs to move back or forward you move the MIDI note that triggers it. As you say getting the original tempo is diffi...

Anyone Experience of an Akai S900-950?
Hi All! Anyone used an old Akai S900 or 950? Not got one but just been trying to do an old skooly piano track and was having right trouble timestretching or getting a vocal sample to fit. Turned out it needed to come in not on the start of the bar but a 1/16th of the bar in but then had to work out ...

Was about to say that.
I use the RRP in Reaper and for me it only takes say 10 seconds or so. Both kinds - effect RRP or instrument.

Re: Rack Extension subscriptions in shop closing 13th of April
This should also mean they allow you to demo REs for a second time after a certain amount of time has passed. There are REs that I demoed when Rack Extensions were new that I've been unable to take a second look at years later when my needs have changed. In this case my only choice is to buy it or ...

I'm still on 11 so can't download this. Looks and sounds nice from your description though. What devices exactly are used in this if you wouldn't mind? So at the heart of the device is psuedo-bandpass filter which is created using 2xSweeper MF LP24 and MF HP24, which are both controlled by Freq kno...

Alright. Since we're just having some fun with Photoshop... and like I said earlier. It's just a quick and dirty mock-up. Couldn't be bothered to do an entire channel strip, but you get the idea. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6f67qxcj2j1vaga/channel-strip.jpg?raw=1 Where has the image gone from this po...

Re: Can you only install Reason on your C drive?
Really cheesing me off, I've deleted everything I can delete off my c drive and I'm still a couple of gb short of what I need but have (not sure off hand) but probably about 10gb of space (probably more) on my 2nd drive, D drive. Hey, you might have stuff lurking out of reason too. My companion for...

Re: Can you only install Reason on your C drive?
Previously discussed here: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7524313 tldr you can put the program files anywhere, but the soundbanks and REs (which take up most of the space) have to be on your system drive (usually C). However, you can use symlinks to have the files on a different drive...

Re: Which Monitors Should I Go For?
Is your interface that Behringer Xenyx Q502USB? The monitors should be connected from the MAIN OUT left and right on the Q502USB and into the LEFT / RIGHT inputs on the main monitor (both the Q502USB and monitors look like 1/4" jacks). Then I gather that monitor is connected to the second with the ...

Re: Which Monitors Should I Go For?
So I bought the Mackie CR-3X. How do I hook them up to my audio interface? Screenshot_20221223-000406_Samsung Internet.jpg Screenshot_20221223-000525_Samsung Internet.jpg I could only seem to get them hooked up to my comp through the mini jack green comp input. Re: Reason 12.5.0 Released (VST3)
Yes, all the UAD Spark VST3 instruments work. And people asked why VST3 was important  "bUt WiLl It MaKe YoUr MuSiC sOuNd BeTtEr" - said someone somewhere :D No because it already sounded better when we used just hardware. It was already compromised as soon as we did everything ALL in the box.

Re: Reason 12.5.0 Released (VST3)
Is it now possible to load RRP inside stand-alone? I thought this the other day. Is it gonna cause a glitch in the matrix haha! be interesting to know. R.jpeg.jpg EDIT - It has been answered after I commented here. The RRP cannot be loaded into Reason stand-alone now we have VST3 if anyone missed it.

Well stated. On the surface, it's an encouraging update. Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)
I wonder if the RRP will get any love as I'm quite happy with Reaper using the RRP, Reason is just simply too far behind to get anywhere near to being a daw I could use stand-alone again. Maybe in 2024 lol! Just wanna get undo history, loading samples straight into NN-XT, NN-19, Grain, Mimic etc and...
