No one gave a crap about hardware when Reason v1 came out DAWs were the future. Now everyone is buying hardware again. Loads of cool affordable devices available. Reason could play great with this stuff but its surprisingly rooted in the box. Gotta keep up with the times!

I love the built in samplers for instruments. I do a lot of resampling of synths etc. But the sampler window is very bare bones, looks like an afterthought. I do agree. I would love to see Kong boosted with a ton of new features, but you can pretty much do this with Dr. Octorex if you set your midi controller to toggle the channels.

I would make Reason easy to crack so that teenagers in their bedrooms start using it early and then then use it forever more cus it's what they know, probably paying for it when they get older and grow a conscience or cus they go pro. I just got Little Big Tonic. A collection of samples from the Pocket Operater Tonic with loads of patches made in MicroTonic. Really high quality samples, I'm very pleased with them. Sample packs are not usually my thing but I couldn't afford the MicroTonic vst so this is the next best thing.

I would like to use one of the melodic sequencers on Beatstep pro to sequence fx automation. I think if I could get Reason to see midi notes as cc values then the notes could set the fx values for each activated step. Any ideas if this is possible?
