Re: Reason 10 announced!

You know, after looking at your signature, I have to ask: what part is the bottleneck for you? Is it just the lack of high def zoom? Or do you want the actual workflow completely re-invented? Because Reason's workflow is its USP. Changing it would make it not Reason. Really? I mean, did you even us...

Re: Reason 10 announced!

I've been looking around at Grain alternatives, as much as I truly enjoy using Grain (primarily because I really *want* to enjoy it), my upgrade money may better spent elsewhere: another suite or synth that offers similar capabilities and perhaps much more. And what did you find then? There's plent...

Re: Sample editor in reason needs an update...

Aside from their GUI, this is my 2nd most asked for request - a greatly improved sample editor. I'll say it again, Propellerhead needs to focus on their CORE DAW: 1 GUI. 2. Performance. 3. Options. 4. Back-end. REs can't address any shortcomings in those areas, VSTs cant. Personal preferences cant. ...

Re: eXpanse 3.0 is out!

REs like eXpanse and others compete directly with Propellerhead Reason core upgrade offerings, yet RE makers cant create nor improve upon Reasons backend. I feel Propellerhead should focus on "Reason" the back-end, the gui, the performance, the options. This doesn't make sense to you Seqoi? It's pe...

Re: eXpanse 3.0 is out!

Yes I feel Propellerhead should focus on "Reason" the back-end, the gui, the performance, the options. We should see Reasons 10's synths and libraries as REs we can purchase rather than have the core devs resources on synths and samples. REs like eXpanse and others compete directly with Propellerhea...

Pianoteq is no hype, pure joy and unparalleled sound. It's something you rarely if ever hear about and is far better than anything out there.

Let your own fingers and ears tell the tale - don't take my word for it.

Looking forward to it!

Re: Reason 10 "upgrade" vs Studio One 3 Artist. Other potential line-ups?

Don't forget, Studio One Artist is included with most PreSonus Audio Interfaces. You can buy a Refurb Audiobox iOne, which includes Studio One Artist, direct from PresSonus for $70 bucks. Either from their shop or Ebay Store: https://shop.presonus.com/products/hardware/recording-systems/Audiobox-iO...

Re: Reason's last useful native audio FX was over 6 years ago...

I get what you mean, but i would rather use rack extension effects rather than propellerhead wasting time on fx when they could be adding new features like live sequencing and live video effects :) Or none of those and focus on their GUI that's been needing updated for 10 years, which is immediatel...

Re: Random Patch Button/Generator? Fritz and Rostromo, others?

Is there any other synths that have a random generator? Fritz and Rostromo have them, what other devices have a native random generator? Well, Nostromo (the real deal) of course  The random options are much more advanced. And then of course you have the ability to make adjustments with t...

Re: Reason 10 "upgrade" vs Studio One 3 Artist. Other potential line-ups?

Hmm that didn't even cross my mind Ed, thanks for the heads up. I've tried S1 Prime seems about right, may go back to reaper though as I used it for a long time, just didn't like the midi editing in it, was hoping to get one package to do it all smoothly. Much prefer Reason to get with it on their I...

Hopping in to say Rostromo is actually really great and quite fun to play with -- good for quick soundscapes and variety, thanks for making it available. Is there a VST of Nostromo or purely RE?

Maybe give mu.lab a look as well. I used to use its predecessor Muzys back in the day.
Thanks Ava , Not sure what to make of it. Instantly gave me the KX Project vibe of the Soundblaster days. I like modular stuff.

Re: Reason 10 "upgrade" vs Studio One 3 Artist. Other potential line-ups?

I don't understand why a UI that fitted your needs for 10 years now doesn't do it any more. What do you mean by an interface that helps, not hinders? It never fit my needs, it fit my moods. It wasn't even considered a DAW until it got native 'audio' recording, then it became my task to use it more ...

Re: Reason 10 "upgrade" vs Studio One 3 Artist. Other potential line-ups?

Currently my plan is purchasing Studio One 3 Artist for $99, saving $30 and getting far far more for the money. Reason 9.5 goes pure native (no vst within it), and slave in my new DAW (like it was for years, seems it's heading back). Just be aware that the Artist version of Studio One does not incl...

Reason 10 "upgrade" vs Studio One 3 Artist. Other potential line-ups?

Since I'm in the "What other options are there for my $130", I think I discovered my best option 'upgrade path' after much consideration of options. Might be something for many of you who are in a similar boat, and I'm interested in your thoughts. Currently my plan is purchasing Studio One 3 Artist ...

See that's just it. I use Reason because it's genuinely fun to tinker with: It's enjoyable building sounds and effects. However 95% of my *real* music is piano and voice, something most people never would choose Reason for. I've always liked Reason since it stood out from the pack and brought a conv...

Re: Reason 10 announced!

Serious question for those who genuinely excited for the new synths. Do you believe Europa or the other synths in 10 is any better than the hundreds of options we already have? Re: Graphics update seems to be around the corner

I'm seeing the term "vector" get thrown around here, and I'm not sure everyone understands what it means. Vector, in this context, means drawn entirely from math, not from bitmaps. I can guarantee you Propellerhead will not move to vector rendering for Reason. There are two reasons for this: First,...
