Re: Sugar Bytes REs...anybody still use 'em?
Maybe we should have a Sugar Bytes RE challenge hahaha :) Since most of us have at least one of the REs, this can be an interesting one. :) I asked them for the manuals a good while ago. Some of them are not linked from the RE shop any more, but everything is still online, if anyone is interested. ...

Re: Has Cableguys ShaperBox2 ever been on sale?
Haha I wrote discounted, not discontinued :D Thanks! And I already have StutterEdit2, the UI is a nightmare, even worse than V1 imho. Hence I'm looking for something more fun. So that permanent sale on their website is the same price as the regular price on pluginboutique.. interesting. I wonder if...

Re: Has Cableguys ShaperBox2 ever been on sale?
They have a few modules on sale regularly and at the same time run sort of a permanent sale on their website: https://www.cableguys.com/shaperbox.html When I checked out their stuff a few months ago, they had the same prices. This was when they added the Crush module. It does not look like discontin...

Re: New RE "Obsession"
Sorry , by inserting Obsession as an effect on an audio track and properly increasing the volume knob on the back of the Rack, I can no longer get any sound from a single audio track. Can you help me ? Select Obsession with your MIDI controller and press a key while playing back or create a note la...

Re: Kontakt Start Free: I'm finally screwed.
Two good KONTAKT Player libraries to check out for free are most likely: https://projectsam.com/libraries/the-free-orchestra/ https://en-us.sennheiser.com/drummica (they need a registration and will be added to the NI account via serial number during the process) Both should be fine for getting a fi...

Re: Expression Input/ Footswitch input question.
A sustain pedal can only send two MIDI values, "0" for "up" and "127" for "down", nothing else. Your expression pedal can send the MIDI values between "0" and "127". While it is technically not 100% impossible to use an expression pedal as a sustain pedal, it's not really a desired thing to do due t...

Re: RE Developer group and 'ranking' on ReasonTalk
There was a group started here a while back and it only includes a handful of you. And there was no ranking given at the time. Being a part of this group will assign your name the color and you will receive the 'RE Developer' ranking. RE-dev.jpg I kindly ask you to consider the color of their ranki...

Re: Worst Rack Extension ? Take a look
Careful with such lists. [...] While it is possible SW4C is the lowest rated, it'd be purely coincidence, because it's also the last letter alphabetically within its possible 1.5 to 2.4 star range, so it's technically possible it might actually not be the lowest. [...] You can inspect the shop page...

Re: Reason Drum Kits muted note lane issue
I Started a song last night playing with RDK for the first time. I made 3 note lanes. One for the kick and snares, one fore the hi hats, and one for the tambourine all recorded separately as I went along. Everything was working fine before I saved and went to bed. Opened the song today and find the...

Re: REs with known bugs
I think such a list is good and helpful. It must have good documentation of the problem and emotions must be kept outside to be informative for users. This can help to evaluate to still use/buy a product, e.g. if they consider the bugged RE is worth something for a person or helpful nonetheless (lik...

Re: MURF Noise Modrack to Blamsoft F16 Freq Input = nice analog grit
I just wanted to share a back of the rack trick I just discovered. If you take Murf's free Noise Modrack RE and plug it into Blamsoft's F16 Frequency input (turn the trim way down in the 30s or 40s or it's way too overpowering), it adds a really nice dirty grit to the filter. Thanks for the free no...

Re: Best MSEG devices in RE shop?
The Sweeper basically has that envelope module and CV output for it. It does not allow to automate the steps, but since you can automate the envelope rate, maybe that gets you close to what you need. Well, yes, you ar right. It also has a handy envelope follower. Got to get used to the new stuff :-...

I am not fully satisfied with all of them as an Envelope Generator. Just wish i had Europas Envelope as a separate unit. With programmable/automatable/modulateable steps. Re: Forgotten Waveshaper 2 is now available!
During the "spring-cleaning" (keeping the useful patches) I thought I'd share another one. It's a clipper in a Combinator (clipping above -18 dB or -12 dB, hard or softer), which means it cuts the peaks above the set values and will never go beyond. I chose -12 dB because of Selig's peak reference m...

Re: Forgotten Waveshaper 2 is now available!
I tought I'd share two combinators that I like to use on drums. It's meant to add some crunch to things without making it much louder and fast A/B. The tuby one can do something on some kicks or toms while the other one does something on snares, OHs, etc. and something more. Maybe it's useful for so...

Unfortunately you cannot "Alt-Click" that display in Rytmik, but it's available via "Track Parameter Automation".
As an alternative, you can hit the "RECORD" button and turn the knobs to create an automation lane for it.

Re: Enlightenspeed's Loopcracker 2 is in the shop
I found the drums in "Spitfire LABS VST" interesting, but they do not offer separate outputs in the plugin, so I was looking for a way to make it happen. I used "Note Filter" as a solution, which does of course require loading multiple instances of LABS for one drum kit, but I got the result I wante...
