I think they're great, honestly. I don't find it difficult to pull some great sounds out of them at all. they take a little getting used to, though. they definitely didn't sound like I was expecting when I first plugged in, but I find the tones to be very warm, natural, and tube-y. I've used Line 6 ...

I was really excited and thinking I should grab this right away until I saw Selig's comments that it might be overly sensitive, and then I was on the fence. then I saw how quickly Ochen K was responding to these suggestions, and I'm back off the fence again. I'll be buying it now.

YES.

I demoed Vermilion, and it is fantastic. I upgraded to 8, so now I'm using Amp, and that too is fantastic. they are very different beasts though. the best thing to do would be to try them all and see which one best suits your needs.
