Mattias is starting to talk about the PUF closing

I studied communications and broadcast engineering in college and went on to work for Google as a freelancer for over 5 years! One of the main jobs i did was media training and how a company is supposed to address concerns and problems. I wasn't the teacher but I listened to qualified experts who ge...

Reason targeted ads on ReasonTalk.

No adds! The people behind the scenes do this for the love of it! They don't need to get paid just like the posters providing the information don't need to get paid. This is a community and as long as the minimum fees are covered...which is not that much to justify selling as space...than we should ...

The Location List in the browser is an extreme time saver for me.  When I create a combinator or patch that I use a lot, like my double grand piano or Kuassa Fender Princeton, I drag it from the browser list to the left into the Location List.  From then on, it shows up in that list on the left in ...

Pulverisor & Distortion

this is the ONE case (despite what some others claim) where "gain staging" is still important in digital audio. And no, I don't mean "leaving headroom" or adopting a common audio "reference level" for all your tracks (both thing I suggest), as they are not the same thing as "gain staging", which ha...

RE delay compensation

I disagree - latency with Polar and Neptune is the kind of large latency that's easily compensated for manually, when it comes to rhythmic timing, when they're used as 100% wet inserts. It's stuff like Saturation Knob, compressors etc. with their few samples of latency, devices that are often used ...

RE delay compensation

But they already deal with feedback loops with somewhat predictable behaviour. Even without RE's Reason has always had to deal with those and I can't imagine it being a bigger problem with ADC than without because if you get one you know why, you have a feedback loop. That is though, why I said the...

SSL Mixer Channel Value Display for Volume, Pan and Width

and in that same field you can see latency just in case you want to manual compensate...so that field could read multiple values depending on what you select and care to monitor at the time...sort of like the ability to choose peak, vu or both.

RE delay compensation

I would be fine with ADC on parallel channels only. It would solve at least some of my latency problems when trying to mix in Reason. However you would still be dealing with phase issues on inserts and than there is the issues when tracking and you want to add a quick effect on the vocal channel but...

Ernst's Official Announcement regarding the end of PUF

They are closing the forums because the honest and negative comments about its flagship product affected sales & the companies image. Understandable, arrogant & one ballsy decision but ultimately ignorant of the fact that you have pissed off the very people who inject income into your companies bac...
